Not bad...but could have been better
28 March 2001
The first time I saw Father of the Bride 2 I really liked it. I still enjoy watching some parts of it but I thought some realistic parts in the movie were not necessary. First of all, the mother and daughter pregnant together. This could happen but probably when the mother is not older than 40. Nina had to be at least 47. Is it likely that the mother would be pregnant at that age? I don't think so. Secondly, I could not understand why George and Nina wanted the baby to have two last names. Children always go by their father's last name and I thought Brian's father made a good observation when he said that George and Nina already had Matt to carry on the Banks name. So why they thought the baby should have two last names is beyond me. In conclusion, Father of the Bride 2 is still cute and fun to watch in some parts but I thought the first one was much better

Somewhere Over the Rainbow
25 March 2001
This was a very good movie about Judy Garland. It gave me a better understanding of what she had to go through during her career and a new appreciation for her. Judy's daughter Lorna Luft should be very proud of this. I'm sure Judy would be. One problem I had with the film is that I could not understand why they had Judy Davis who is in her forties, already playing Garland at 21. Don't get me wrong, I thought Davis' performance was wonderful. Still, it would have been better if Tammy Blanchard had continued to play Judy until 1950 and then have Davis start playing Judy in 1951. Otherwise, it was a great movie and I thought both Tammy Blanchard and Judy Davis gave marvelous performances that are definetely emmy worthy.

Grease 2 (1982)
Cool Rider
24 September 2000
I have to admit the first time I saw Grease 2 I didn't think I would like it. The first time I saw it me and my friend decided to turn it off after the first twenty minutes because we thought it was so stupid. Later, another friend of mine brought her copy over to my house and I decided to try and watch it again and I have to admit it grew on me. My roommate and I rented it a few weeks ago and we enjoyed seeing it again. This one was not as good as the original mind you, but it is still very good and enjoyable for anyone. If any of you have seen the original Grease but not this version I recommend you do. You might enjoy it.

George Hearn IS Sweeney Todd and Angela Lansbury Is Mrs. Lovett!
14 January 2000
I liked this version of Sweeney Todd. I was introduced to it in my Theatre Class and I thought the production was brilliant. Angela Lansbury did a fantastic job playing Mrs. Lovett and George Hearn was awesome as Sweeney Todd. They definetley deserved the emmy and tony awards they received for their performances. The music was also great because each song fit into the story perfectly. One of my favorite songs was "Johanna" and "Worst Pies in London." If you like musicals and thrillers I recommend you see Sweeney Todd.
