Great Fluff

Stallone is not the only actor in this non-action effort.

It begins with Yvonne DeCarlo and Kirk Douglas as Sly's folks. Tim Curry and Chaz Palminteri are both certainly worth watching. Lots of character actors like Eddie Bracken and Art Lefleur. One scene I like is the "Finucci" Brothers playing Boggie Woogie piano with Vincent Spano. Marisa Tomei, William Atherton and Ken Howard have their moments as well. Overall, more worth multiple viewings than say; "Daylight".

Abandon "Rambo", try some "Snaps". Good fun, plot twists, nice sets, lots of quality cast. I own a copy on laserdisc and show it to Stallone comedy virgins regularly. If they can take it ...I put on "Rhinestone"!!!

A Good Time Is Had By All!!

Cybil and the Chevelle

This is an enjoyable lady gumshoe movie. Decent casting, fair plot, nice locations, some snappy dialogue and a great "396" Chevy Chevelle convertible. Her driving the car with or without her hat on the CA coast is worth watching if nothing else! I wish she could have made at least a season of these mysteries.

Have a drink or something, loosen up

If you didn't like this movie...you didn't get it. That's Okay, most people don't...Too Bad. It has a memorable quality even if you didn't like it, obviously. It did it's job just giving a point of comparison that you remember. Try singing "Hey baby, que paso?" and people know where it's from. Try it on home video with your favorite whatever and find your inner child. It's a "What you did over the summer?" flick, after all.

Light distraction
1 July 2001
Sometimes I watch a movie for it's distractive escape value. This silly, multi-faceted story with the back drop of a child's "What did you do this summer?" tale is fine a beer and potato chip viewing and leaves you with "Hey Baby, Que Paso?" humminn' in your head. Lighten up!
