This film had Raj Kapoor acting opposite Rehana , Roopkamal and Nigar Sultana. The story was the usual love triangle but lacked lustre . The film had 13 songs some of which were very good. Raj Kapoor was in the early days of his film career but yet acted very well. Roopkamal may not be well known but acted in many films during the late forties era like Mela, Badi Behen, Mirza Sahiban and was usually as a second string heroine. Rehana was a popular actress of those days although her acting and behaviour was considered to be vulgar for those days,, a far cry from what is seen nowadays ! Nigar was another popular actress and looked beautiful. She maybe better remebered for her role in Mughal -e-Azam

this film should be considered as masterpiece which has unfortunately not been well known...kamal amrohi has done a wonderful script of a young girl married to a very old man but pining within for love with a young man...the songs are not very impressive except for the devotional song sung by the workers..

this film starred dilip kumar. kamini kaushal . paro . jeevan . mubarak and cuckoo. lilting music was provided by s.d.burman..the film was made under the banner of filmistan...dilip kumar and kamini kaushal were at the heyday of not only their careers but of their romance as well!! dilip kumar had a very different role compared to his previous films like jugnu, shaheed, nadiya ke paar , mela which had tragic endings but in this film he played a role of a tramp and a gypsy and danced in several gypsy songs however not with the heroine but with the vamp paro..the film was a major hit

the film had dev anand acting opposite suraiya and kamini kaushal in the etrnal love triangle..lilting music provided by ghulam mohamed gave some very memorable songs not often heard nowadays..the performance of kamini kaushal was far better than suraiya..other star cast included sulochana senior and cuckoo and agha
