Sweet Girl (2021)
1/10
The new Plan Nine From Outer Space (only less believable).
23 August 2021
A new standard in utter stupidity and ridiculousness. So bad it must be seen to be believed. Gather a group of friends and prepare to be entertained for all the wrong reasons.

See it for yourself
22 May 2006
No, it's not the worst movie ever made as some reviews state, nor is the best. It's one of those movies you really should see for yourself (and I'm not promoting it) because opinions on this thing have been literally from A to Z. People who thought this was the best novel ever written may be disappointed but then again some have loved it. That's why you should see it but maybe wait for the DVD. I would suggest that you have an ample supply of heavily-caffeinated soft drink, popcorn and chocolate. The pace is rather slow.

Oh, and one other thing. Some people have commented that "religious and Christians zealots" will be offended by this movie (and the book) for what it claims about Jesus' life. This is true, sort of. I think what may aggravate them the most, however, is the fact that there are people (idiots) who actually believe these things are true! Yeah, in all of history, it took Dan Brown to show us the light. Please. These are the same people who would watch "Pretty Woman" and actually believe that a multi-billionaire would fall in love and marry a hooker who looks like Julia Roberts.

OK, I'm stunned........I loved this movie.
21 June 2004
I can't believe I'm saying this but I absolutely loved this movie. I didn't stop laughing the entire time. Yes, much of the humor was outrageous slapstick but there were some surprisingly good lines that really cracked me up. Especially Rip Torn. Forget what others have said about Baseketball, Zoolander, etc. This film blows them away big time. If you can simply cop the attitude that you're going to go see this movie to have a good time, not over-intellectualize and relax, guess what, you will enjoy yourself. Going in, I was convinced I would not like this movie. Fortunately and unexpectedly, I was very wrong. Take a chance, you won't regret it.

Pulp Fiction (1994)
Yes, it is original and it is great.
15 August 2002
Some people seem to have a great hang-up about everyone "obeying" the great reviews of this movie like sheep and liking it even though it's terrible. Well I saw this movie knowing nothing about it (no reviews were read, no word-of-mouth from friends) and I was blown away. It's unique, original, super-cool and just plain great. Do not listen to the negative reviews. See it with an open mind and enjoy. It is a modern day classic.

Throw me a frickin' bone here!
31 July 2002
Would someone please give me a frickin' break?! ATTENTION ALL YOU SANCTIMONIOUS, HOLIER THAN THOU IDIOTS: IT'S AN AUSTIN POWERS MOVIE! Were you expecting "Gosford (ZZZZZZZZ) Park"? I'm so sick of reading comments like "Goldmember" is stupid, brainless, has too much bathroom humor, is just a series of sketches (no sh*t), etc, etc. As opposed to what? The high class of Austin eating Fat Bastard's feces in "The Spy Who Shagged Me"? Get a life, people. It's meant to be gross, silly, funny. The operative word is FUNNY. I hope like hell Mike Meyers makes a fourth installment. I know I'll be there the day it opens. It'll still be better than most anything else that's out there (which "Goldmember" certainly is). As for the rest of you naysayers: please stay home, who needs you?

You'd have to be a frickin' idiot not to like this one.
29 July 2002
Austin's back and he's better than ever. Everything you love about this series is here and much, much more. I won't spoil the surprises but the way the star cameos are used is priceless and they keep coming, even to the very end. But that's just a small part of this wildly inventive movie. I'll keep it short and sweet: If you love the Austin Powers movies, you'll positively enjoy every second of this one. Go see it.

Just go see it, already.
26 July 2001
It's hilarious to me that the guy from Canada is perfectly willing to accept cloned dinosaurs, etc. but "talking Raptors?", well that's just too much. Attention pseudo-intellectual, anal retentive nerds: stay home. For all the rest of us who just like fun, entertaining movies, this is the one to see. Do yourselves a favor, just go see this film.

A Great Movie You've Probably Never Heard Of
14 August 1999
This is really a very enjoyable little movie. I rented the tape knowing absolutely nothing about this movie (I never heard of it. I read the notes on the tape box and it sounded interesting). If you've never seen this film, go rent it, now.

Seinfeld (1989–1998)
The Beatles of Comedy
19 July 1999
Maybe it's just me but if I watch a show once or twice and I think it's the worst show I ever saw, THEN I DON'T WATCH IT ANYMORE! Some people think this is the worst show ever made. Yet, they've seen nearly every episode. That's over 160 shows! Sorry, naysayers, but this IS the best sitcom, if not TV series, ever. Don't you just hate those comedies that feel it is their duty to get cutesy and preachy and serious and teach us all a lesson on how to live life (I'm gagging as I write). If for no other reason, I love Seinfeld for never giving in, for existing for the sake of comedy and nothing else. No schmaltz, no sentiment and nothing sacred. Keep raising the bar, keep one step ahead of everybody else (on TV). Yep, the Beatles of Comedy.

Bad Bad West
10 July 1999
I really wanted to like this movie. Really. See the trailer, save your money. Every good scene and line can be seen in the previews. As for the people saying it was awesome or very good or "it rocked".......No, no, no. It was bad, boring and very forgettable. Probably the biggest waste of talent and money since "Ishtar". Very sad.

The Godfather (1972)
Yes, it is the best.
7 July 1999
I really it hate when I'm flipping with the remote and I come, once again, upon "The Godfather". No, it's not because I'm bored with it after seeing it 1,000 times. It's because it is still completely captivating and totally enthralling every single time I see it. And, I can't turn away! It is and always will be, my favorite movie (along with and equal to Part II). As others have said, skip Part III. Or, at least, enjoy it on its own terms and don't try to compare it to or even think of it as a part of a trilogy of Parts I & II. Part III is the "Let It Be" album of Francis Ford Coppola. (You Beatles freaks will understand).

"The Godfather" is not a masterpiece. It is THE masterpiece.

The Bubble (1966)

Great 3-D effects, bad movie
2 July 1999
Very hokey alien invasion plot but was the first (I think) 3-D movie to use polarized lenses as opposed to the old red/blue 3-D glasses. The effects were , for 1967, awesome and we were duly astounded. We went opening night and the theater in downtown New Orleans was packed. If this wasn't a 3-D movie, however, you could use it as a sedative. They kept the effects paced just enough to keep us all interested. Today it's a curiosity, conversation piece at best.

Panic! (1957– )
Good show, should be in reruns but isn't (to my knowledge).
1 July 1999
This was a good show. Each episode started out with the TV screen (glass) seemingly shattering. No regular cast, each episode had guest stars who were inevitably thrown into dire circumstances and who then had to save themselves or be doomed! Thus the title.
