Sin City (2005)
8/10
Phenomenal
1 April 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Sin City blew me away. Visually, it was one of the coolest movies I have ever seen. The film is in black & white, with color interspersed in certain items (such as a girl's blue eyes or a woman's red dress). I thought it was pretty fascinating to see a major film shot this way. Some of the scenes are very comic-book (it is based on Frank Miller's graphic novels) and I loved that. The movie was very over-the-top...but in a way that I really enjoyed. Very interesting plot lines and I was as interested as could be throughout the entire film. Though make sure you know...the movie is very graphic and has just a tad bit of blood. It's mostly done in an over-the-top way, as mentioned, but be aware. In any case, for my money, Sin City is a must-see.

This movie is stunningly bad...
4 July 2004
"From Justin to Kelly" is on HBO right now...and I am stunned beyond belief about how bad this movie is. The acting is worse than what you would see in a 3rd grade theatre performance of Peter Rabbit. Why did movie executives allow Kelly Clarkson & Justin Guarini to star in a movie??? They could barely sing on a reality TV show, so how does that qualify them to act in a Hollywood motion picture?? Although in their "defense", Justin & Kelly have been given some of the worst dialogue in the history of cinema. I cannot believe I just saw a scene where after just getting to know Kelly, Justin said, without irony, that there was really "something between us". What guy says something that cheesy...and gets away with it??? Are you kidding me? And these scenes where the "actors" just break into song? They are the most unintentionally stupid scenes I've seen in some time. Justin just started singing to Kelly while on a boat and I literally fell out of my seat in uncontrollable laughter. Unfortunately, this was supposed to be a dramatic scene. This movie is simply a total train wreck. I never thought I would see something worse than either Battlefield Earth or Kangaroo Jack...but I was wrong. "From Justin to Kelly" is as bad as it gets. It is the worst movie in the history of movies. This truly deserves the #1 spot on the Bottom 100 list here on IMDb. I don't know what else to say, other than that I feel dumber for having seen this film than I did before watching it. Watching a movie this bad is like murder on your brain.

Steel (1997)
1/10
This Steel is quite porous...

Wow, I feel dumber for even having seen a portion of this movie. Its been on HBO a lot lately, and unfortunately, I had the misfortune of glimpsing it. Shaq should be banned from the planet Earth for being in such a bad movie. Who was the genius who okayed this movie?? This is right up there in one of the worst films ever. A 2.8 user rating is WAY too high for a movie of this low calibur...

Red Dawn (1984)
10/10
I really enjoyed it...
30 September 1999
Red Dawn is one of my all-time favorite movies. It has adrenaline and as a viewer, you're interested to see Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, C. Thomas Howell and co. defend the good ole' U.S. of A. It's a movie where you can project yourself into the role of the cast, as this group of (mostly) kids fights to save the country. They had no training or experience in warfare, but they banded together for a common cause. For some reason, Howell's role as Robert is one of my all-time favorites, and when he goes up against a helicopter with a machine gun, I get excited no matter how many times I've seen the movie. Go check this movie out and I think you'll enjoy it...
