Megan Fox has No Emotion
1 August 2021
Premise of the movie was very good, as was acting- except for Fox. Eyes filling with tears that never fall, lip gloss in almost every scene (first thing in the morning and after scrubbing her face), and no panic whatsoever. Any other woman would be hysterical or sobbing with what she endures. Would have been a 6-7 star rating with a better actress.

Creepy and Intense!

I LOVE M.Night Shyamalan. This is the weirdest but most intriguing series I've watched. The storyline, the music, the characters, the focus on food being created by the husband (a chef). I cannot stop watching this series. Worth it!

Why?
15 November 2020
Rated a must-see thriller by Reader's Digest. Literally nothing exciting happens until the last ten minutes of a two and a half hour movie. Grateful I fast forwarded.

Karate Kid fans will love Season One
31 August 2020
Great show for Karate Kid fans! Season 1 was full of memorabilia and goofy jokes that were pretty funny. But Season 2 left me cringing. Way too cheesy, completely unrealistic, and over dramatic. Should have stopped at Season 1. And all the 10/10 ratings make me think bots took over.

So Bad...
12 March 2020
Literally wanted to shut it off 15 minutes in. Terrible acting by the main character, annoying sound effects and music. Felt like the movie was made by high school students who were on a $20 budget.

Alternative Ending Would Have Made 7 Stars
24 February 2020
I loved this movie right up until the last 20 minutes. I couldn't wait to see how it ended but was very disappointed. And yes, as another reviewer said, our legal system does not work the way the movie portrayed. It was laughable.

Brad Pitt at His Best
21 January 2020
Oh my word. You have to watch it. And watch it again. At first I thought- hmm. Weird, but I'll watch it. It's a dark comedy but I laughed (with shock) through the whole thing. You're on the edge of your seat wondering 'Uh oh, what's going to happen next?' Brad Pitt as the goofball co-worker of the protagonist, is hysterical. I've seen almost every movie that Brad Pitt has been in, and he completely gets into his character in this movie. So refreshing!

Left me disappointed
16 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Great acting and plot that kept me guessing until the end. The filming was a bit distracting and sometimes all over the place. There were a few confusing and sometimes irritating moments. All in all I did find it ok and sat through the whole movie, even to the disappointing ending.

*******SPOILER ALERT*********

For the life of me I don't understand why the mother never called anyone after each terrifying episode- not a friend, the police, or even her husband. She goes on with life as if she's just had a bad dream.

Finding terrifying videos of her daughter speaking to a dark figure with a demonic voice would have sent a mother running to the church, police, or therapy. This mother accepts her 9 year old daughter swearing at her for looking at her phone yelling 'I don't know who I was talking to!' Well. Okay?

And it's never explained how the figure (who turns out to be hired to scare the wits out of the mom and kid) happens to casually stroll into the daughter's room at night and HAVE the conversation with her. Did he drug her first? Even a 9 year old with a sleep disorder doesn't just wake up and find it normal to have a conversation with the boogeyman about killing their mother.

The ending is why I rated the movie a 5. Are we supposed to now think that the mother dreamt the whole thing?

Unoriginal.

Main Caracter Stars Snubbed
28 September 2019
Why were Gosselaar and Thiessen not asked to be in the remake? They were the biggest stars on the show.

Christianity Watered Down
1 June 2012
After reading the Karen Kingsbury novel that the movie 'Like Dandelion Dust' was based on, I was very much looking forward to watching it. However, I was disheartened to see that there was no mention of Christ Jesus at all in the movie. The whole premise of the story in the novel was to show that faith in Jesus and prayer will overcome all odds. Instead, the movie portrayed Christians as righteous and overbearing. And that making wishes on dandelions works better than prayer. The movie also left out a lot of detail that although made it work, I felt that it rushed the story. I understand that when you sell the rights to your novel, the movie producer has the right to change certain aspects of it, but I'm disappointed that Ms. Kingsbury would allow the removal of faith in Christ.

On a positive note, I found the acting very good, especially by Mira Sorvino and Cole Hauser and I was impressed with Maxwell Perry Cotton as little Joey Campbell. I had a good cry throughout the movie. Would still recommend to others.

Great humor, good Canadian show
25 January 2007
I love this show! I didn't start watching it until last year (2006), but my kids and I love to catch it when it's on. It isn't meant for young audiences, that's true, hence the title '6TEEN'. One of the fun elements of the show is that it's Canadian, which is a nice change, and the different personalities of the characters is a good mix. The teens in this show are pretty close friends, guys and girls, which didn't happen when I was in high school. The dating thing always got in the way. I think the way some of the teen girls talk they've hit right on the money, though. I've stood behind girls like that in the mall and it sounds exact. Overall, this show is a good, fun way to spend a half hour of your day.
