Pretty Cool for a...
5 December 2002
I actually enjoyed this old-school suspense thriller. Better than most, not as good as some -- but all in all a good rental when HBO, "Skinemax" and Showtime are running re-runs! Dennis Hopper is his normal, crazy self and many 70's stars appear.

GREAT LOOK AT WHAT KIDS GO THROUGH TODAY
7 April 2002
Four kids from different backgrounds and locations. At age 12, two are already having sex, one is a national champion mountain bike racer and the other is just "trying to make it through." Very well done film from 5 time Emmy Award winning director, Lee Stanley for Court TV - too good a show for their network, that's for sure.

GREAT SOLO CONCERT
20 May 2001
On August 16, 1997 Bret Michaels performed his first solo concert to a sold out Billboard Live on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip. Without the backing of his band, POISON, Bret kept the show going and the crowd on their feet for over an hour with an incredible performance.

The way it was, the way it is and the way it shall be. . .
18 May 2001
I had a chance to see this 'vintage' version of a documentary about desert motorcycle racers and wow, what a story. Three men who take on the most dangerous elements and risk it all. . .to win. Desert world champion, J.N. Roberts, singer/song writer Mentor Williams and filmmaker, Lee Stanley are the subjects who put it all on the line. It's a story about commitment, following your dreams and the women who wait only hoping that they will return. You really care about each character as they are introduced, their work, their families. When they go out and race, you really want each one of them to win for different reasons, but of course out of 1,000 racers, there will only be one winner. One of our subjects does happen to win!!! If you liked On Any Sunday (I & II) you'll love this one!!!
