This is one of my favourite appearances of David Bowie on TV. I had never seen a "Live By Request" before and I now believe I was missing out on some good stuff! This was filmed in 2002, after the release of "Heathen". Bowie performs a few tracks from his new album but also lots of old favourites like "Ziggy Stardust" and "Ashes to Ashes". However, what I enjoyed most was his interaction with the callers and the host. There are quite a few jokes and we get some mini-interviews between tracks, which fans of David Bowie are going to cherish. If you're a Bowie fan, you have to watch this. If you're not, it still makes for an entertaining evening with lots of good music.

This TV series is airing now in Greece. While I was there I tried to catch as many episodes as possible, and I even taped some to make sure I wasn't going to miss them! I loved the settings, the atmosphere, the costumes... I thought it was all very well done! Each episode carried the flavor of the 19th century into my 21st century living room! I also liked the twists and turns of the plot. Unlike most other soap operas, this one had quite a few surprises. Yes, I did see some things coming, but that has more to do with me being a seasoned TV viewer than the series being anything close to "banal". The acting was good as well. I regretted the fact that in Greece the series was aired dubbed. I think I would have enjoyed it even more in its original language. All in all, a series worth watching. If it airs in your area, consider yourselves lucky!

The 13 episodes of Prey have just been broadcasted in Greece! They were on at 1:00 am (!) but I used to stay up and watch them. It is simply the best series I've ever seen! The idea was different (I had grown a bit tired of watching aliens over and over again) and the acting was great! I wish they had filmed more episodes!
