Confessions of a Sexist Pig (1998)
Not to be missed
This was a great movie. I saw it at the film fest and was one among many laughing harder than I had in years. There is so much truth and humor in this flick about men and women. The premise about men's essential natures is absolutely true, which made a lot of women in their twenties and freshly-minted dating couples acutely uncomfortable. If you have a brain and a sense of humor about the differences between (straight) men and women, you should definitely see this flick. Also, it was very well-made (dual story line only halted a bit in spots; engagingly-drawn main characters [esp. the yummy albeit too white-bread protagonist]; scene-specific effective [but limited for supporting roles] character development; plot zipped along without any dull spots; effective use of hand-held camera sequences). This movie should be seen by anyone who is trying to have an intelligent relationship, and everyone on the planet could profit from some of the key take-aways (like, oh quit taking yourself so seriously). Heartily recommend!
