Coyote Ugly (2000)
One of the best...
One of the best films of all times. If you think "Time of your life" was good, now try this. This is absolutely one of the best motion pictures I've ever seen; it's plain and down-to-earth, just the way you want it. I give it at 10/10! Nice drama from a girl half as old as I am.....
Det okända (2000)
Much better than its reputation
Was actually quite surprised over how scary this movie is. Saw it on a Saturday afternoon and picked it off the shelf quite randomly. The dialogue is sometimes hard to follow due to lack of subtitles (saw it in Swedish), but it is really nothing like BWP. I gave BWP a 10 out of 10 and this one deserves the same rating. What it does have, that BWP lacks is a story. There is actually a plot in this film. It is really a combination of a psychological thriller and a horror movie. With some parts from both genres, which, combined, makes a really good 1 1/2 hour of entertainment. You don't want to go camping the day after, though.
Minaccia d'amore (1988)
Don't be folled by the cover
Don't be fooled by the plot out-line as it is described on the cover (at least the Swedish version). The story on this seems rather interesting, with speculative hints. Nothing can be further from the truth. This is the absolute most sad movie experience I've ever had... It is plain and right AWFUL and should not be sold or rented to anyone. If you still think the plot seems intriguing, reflect on this: telephones can move, run and kill people as can also any other electric appliance. It can throw things at you, haunt you and run after you. PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE it is a disgrace for the horror genre...
The Blair Witch Project (1999)
An excellent film
An excellent film which I thought was good the first time watching and awesome the second time. Great cast! The second time I watched it, some new experiences came up, like when they find the bloody rag and also just before the movie ended in the house. I recommend everybody to go rent (or better yet - buy) this movie as it's about to become a classic in the horror genre.
Fucking Åmål (1998)
Just though I should share...
The most amazing thing happened when I was watching this movie in a theater down-town Stockholm a Monday at 5.15 PM. The audience, in their mid-thirties (majority) gave the film standing ovations when it ended and the cast was displayed to Robyn's "Show me love". I have never experienced anything like it before or after.
