Being John Malkovich (1999)
I thought I was tripping my *@##'s off, but no its just a really $U!?ed up movie.
But sometimes you just need a very original, very different movie like this to wake you up and force you to pay attention to the damn T.V (or whatever you are watching). I personally think that this movie definitly deserved more credit than it got.
Jhon Cusak, and Csameron Diaz pull off a very convincing act of a "nerdy, weird, married couple who are on the verge of driving each other insane. All Jhon Cusak wants is to pursue a carrer of being a pupetter. His fingers can work magic but he cant make any money "playing with dolls." Cameron Diaz plays the wife of this puppet master. Shes very dull, very boring, and would give anything to be someone else.
When John finds a portal in his office that leads to the mind of John Malkavich, he relizes that being someone different is the best thing that ever happered to him. But the same felling crosses his wife(Diaz) when she tries it. John Malcovich plays a very impotant part in this very original movie. He plays the host of antics founded buy John Cusak.
THIS MOVIE DISERVES ALOT MORE CREDIT THAN IT GOT.
This movie also has a couple scenes with one of my all time faviorite actors CHARLIE SHEEN.
The Edge (1997)
A great adventure story about cheating on your husband and a really huge bear.
ANTHONY HOPKINS does a fantastic job, Playing a billionare who's married to Elle McPhearson. But when his plane goes down when searching for an indian for some reason he has to prove himself in the wilderness. That Baldwin guy also does a pretty good job. He plays the photographer of ANTHONY HOPKINS wife.
Elle Mcphearson is damn fine, and this movie tought me that when you have money you can have anything you want even Elle Mcphearson.
This movie also has a giant bear its cool.
The Monster Squad (1987)
"Wolfmans got nards" a quote from Horace(also known as Fat Kid)
Great movie. This is the #1 all time best family/horror flick you can see. When I was in preschool I use to watch this movie all the time. Over, and Over. And I blame this one single movie for my great taste in cheesy, violant, Slasher/or not, horror movies. I'm now starting to wach more and more horror B- movies (anything by Troma team video I highly recommend). But back to the monster squad its all about these kids who are really into the whole idea of monsters and stuff. So, they start this Monster club(Hence the name "monster squad"). But the craziest thing happens, Dracula, Frankienstien, The Mummy, The Wolfman, and a swamp creature, all come back to life. With the help of the school tough guy, Rudy they challenge these classic monsters to the death.
FUNNY. 10 OUT OF 10
Point Break (1991)
Some punk surfers rob a bank
This is Keanu Reeves before he mastered the Matrix. But after he went through time in a fabulous movie called Bill and Teds exelent adventure.
This is Pactric Swazey after he said "nobody puts baby in the corner"in the movie Dirty Dancing. But years before he drove a twelve weeler in Black Dog. This movie also has a bunch of other pretty well known actors(including, Anthony Keedis, and Flea from the Red Hot Chilly Peppers). All that alone makes a movie worth watching. But this movie even without the big names is a unreal movie.
There are some great suRfing sequences. Some great bank robbery sequences and some completely unreal chase scenes. One were Keanu is chasing Patric on foot, wich is probably the best of chase sequence I have ever seen in my life. I forgot to mention another reason to see this movie. GARY BUSEY
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)
The originators of bank robbery and its do's and donts.
Sweet movie. Paul Newman is one of my all time favorite actors. And I think he should get an award for every movie he ever made. Robert Redford I also like. And the charactor I like him most as is The Sundance kid.
But, since this movie came out so long ago, there has been like a billion other bank robber movies made. Some Better than Butch Cassidy, some not. But there are definitely not many bank robber movies with such an unreal ending.
You also got to respect a movie with the B.J. Thomas classic "Raindrops keep falling on my head"
Embrace of the Vampire (1995)
Not an all around great movie, but worth watching a bunch of times.
I remember it perfectly, (the first time I saw her) she was wearing a red baseball hat backwards, and she had a big black eye. I don't remember exactly how she got it but I never felt the same way again. She was Alyssa Milano, standing next to Tony Danza on the very first episode of "Who's The Boss". Ever since that day I watch for anything with her in it. And this movie "Embrace of the Vampire" is one of my favorites.
I have to admit though after I've only watched this movie from beginning to end once. All the rest of the times I used the fast forward button to bring me to a few very important parts of this movie. I give this movie a HUGE 7 OUT OF 10
Halloween II (1981)
A whole bunch of blood, a whole bunch of fire, and a pair of boobs
For anyone who liked the first Halloween movie will love this one. You think Michel killed a lot of people in the first of these A+ slasher films. This movie starts from where Jamie Lee Curtis is in the hospital, and someone wearing a white mask finds here. Very, very cool.
There's a whole bunch of blood, And a whole bunch of fire, And a pair of boobs.
Ravenous (1999)
the story of a cannibal.
This is one screwed up movie. But that definitely does not matter I thought this was still a very cool story. On The Internet Movie Database its described as a comedy/adventure/horror, I think that because its considered a dark comedy makes it even cooler. There is a lot of graphic violence, and acts of cannibalism. Because of this I would not recommend this for anyone with a weak stomach. But there were a few things that I don't think they fully explain so I will only give this a 8 out of 10.
Goodfellas (1990)
The story of a man who idealizes mobsters his whole life, until he becomes one.
If I was asked to pick the all time best gangster movie this would definitely be my answer. Martin Scorsesse is the man. Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, Ray Liota do a great job as Italian gangsters. Every moment of this movie is complete unrealness.
Drugs, Guns, all the violence you want in a top quality flick, and a whole lot of the F word.
