"Thank you, Britain, for a flawless film."
7 September 2004
I never knew this DVD existed, had I not been checking out lesbian films in Amazon.com. On description alone, I purchased it. That was 3 weeks ago. I have watched the DVD almost every night. My 17 yr. old. step-daughter, every time she catches me says, "Not again?" I say, automatically, "Sorry, kid, yes, again." It's not just the theme, it's everything. The time and place, the screen writing, the music, the acting, the tone, the lighting, the challenge of pushing the envelope. (I doubt very much we would see a production such as this here in the United States.) For me, this is absolutely the best lesbian presentation I have seen. It is so satisfying on every level. I, too, had my heart broken by my first love...and eventually found my life partner, so I related very much to the story to some degree. I applaud and thank everyone involved in this presentation. And of course, accolades to the author.

Delicious!

I recently happen to come across this film in Blockbuster. I never heard of the film before...why is that? I now own it and have seen it several times. On the whole I enjoyed it very much. My only complaint is that there are a few audio moments that are hard to grasp. The music chosen is tasteful and fits quite well. All the actors are wonderful. I loved seeing Jill Hennessy in something other than "Law and Order." What a difference! This is a very credible story and unfolds with dignity, humor, and sensitivity. I hope to see more of Nisha's work. Keep your talent out there!

...and Falling in love
22 April 2000
I have fallen in love with this movie. Since I patiently waited til the price went down and bought the movie I have watched it almost everyday. This movie runs consistent on all levels from beginning to end. The screen images embrace me and pulls me in. The acting (need I say I love Pascale/ Camille)...the lilt in her voice, her facial expressions, subtle yet so enticing. Petra! what a wonderful counterpart. Perfect music that moves the film along.

Camille's open-mindedness, and strong self-esteem exudes in this film. When her new sexuality is awakened - she doesn't suppress and feel guilty (which easily could have been due to her strong Christian background). She meets it with some trepidation and yet she is an individual with her own mind and heart...and pushes thru the fear.

I just happen to find this movie in Blockbuster...this movie should be seen round the world.
