The Nutty Proffesor of Bollywood. Rekha is hillarious. American People would love this.

Warning: Spoilers
***SLIGHT SPOILERS*** I didn't think I'd like this movie. But since I just love Rekha, I couldn't skip this. I loved this movie. The movie is basicly about an overweight woman who inherited her father's riches. Her husband wants her dead so that he can have the money. Many twists and turns take place where eventually, Rekha is kidnapped. You have to see the rest to know what happens. It was nice to see Rekha in a funny role instead of a serious one. The music video to Nach Meri Jaan Nach was great. Its nice to see Rekha still dancing after so many years. By the way, her character does lose the weight when she's dancing in the music video. I think People in the United States would love this movie if they saw it with its subtitles. I give it two thumbs up.

Rekha is amazing in this movie. Its like watching a Charlies Angel. Rekha's character,Varsha, loses her father to murder. The killers are three people her father worked with who want his factory. Then what happens is that Rekha, his daughter takes over the business and then the killers come up with another plan. After being falsely accussed of being mentally ill, she gets put into a mental institution. When she escapes, with the help of Raj, played by Saif Ali Khan, the killers meet their fate one by one. Rekha and Saif Ali Khan make a great team.

Lajja (2001)

The best hindi movie I have seen in years
4 September 2001
I absolutley loved this movie. No doubt Lajja will become a masterpiece. Manisha Koirala, Mahima Chaudhary, Rekha, and Madhuri Dixit give such memorable performances in this film. The dance numbers with Urmila Matondker and Sonali is wonderful.

Lajja is a story of four women and thier struggle in men's society. It is a story of survival.
