Extremely Interesting
3 November 2022
I am an aviation lover, as many here are. I find these programs so interesting, altho I have to say occasionally the 'in office' acting can sometimes be a bit lame...... but thats ok. Mostly very good.

My father was a flight engineer on Brittanias, VC10's and ultimately 747's. I know i get my interest from him, as my siblings have no time for aviation.

My wife thinks its a bit morbid watching these shows, so i am left on my own to emmerse into and enjoy them. Fab !

Does anyone know if "Air Crash Investigation " has done a documentary on the 1967 crash of Iberia Flight 062, (55 years ago today) ?

Brilliant show. I do shift work but always try to catch it or record.

Many thanks

G.

Extraction (II) (2015)

Drivel

I agree with most of other reviews when suggesting that Bruce Willis' name was simply used as an attractant. It isn't anything like normal Bruce films - this needs to be put on the bonfire and never seen again.

All the main actors Bruce Willis, Kellan Lutz, Gina Carano, D.B. Sweeney, Joshua Mikel, Steve Coulter, Theodore Sitterson were all good but I feel could have been so much better. The exception for me here was Gina Carano who I thought looked fantastic and was out- acting all others.

Also, son-of-willis got a few cuts on his face from a fight near the beginning which lasted throughout, but Gina Carano had a close-range face punch in a car later (with the perpetrator saying "sorry about the face" before he hit) yet she didn't have any marks on her face thru- out the film.

However, the one main criticism I have of this film is the VERY ANNOYING and persistent, and persistently bad music virtually ALL THE WAY THROUGH.

Don't see this movie. You know you won't get your 83 minutes of life back !

Time well spent

Until now I've not been a fan of Anne Hathaway, though I appreciate lots of people are, but in this movie I did come to like her quite a bit. Good acting, and looking 'normal' one might say. Needless to say Robert De Niro was exemplary as usual. And Jojo Kushner (Paige) - well doesn't she just make you melt ? lovely, brainy, great actress. I have to say that the part of hubby played by Anders Holm was a bit weak. But Becky played by Christina Scherer was super and reminded me of girls I habe met at the offices I have been to on more than one occasion. All in all a very good movie that wife and self enjoyed immensely. Would see this again no problem.

Pretty Painful
15 July 2011
The Witches of Oz – oh dear ! This is a Children's FILM. Some great favourite stars of mine in this, Christopher Lloyd, Jeffrey Combs, Noel Thurman, Lans Henriksen, and the gorgeous Eliza Swenson (aka Victoria Mazze) . If you're expecting a film with lots of modern effects as seen for example in "The Season of The Witch" (Nicolas Cage) then prepare to be disappointed. When fights happen, eg: Tin Man and baddie, no teeth are spat out, no bruises seen, no cuts, no grazes, nothing of this nature throughout the entire film. Not even from wand-plasma. The story is tied-in cleverly from the original, and the individual star actors acting is good as usual and expected, but somehow this film just doesn't gel. Doubtless kids will like it, esp girls I think. But I have to say that I observe that many computer games that children have seem to be more blood and gutsy. I enjoyed the modern "Alice in Wonderland" film much more. Not sure if it was an intentional plant but Christopher Lloyd is seen driving a Yellow Cab in this too. Shades of "Taxi" ? In the end what kept me watching was those beautiful big brown Mexican eyes on the pretty face of the lead Paulie Rojas (Dorothy Gale). In short it was a bit painful to sit through this LONG film, and pretty poor overall I would say.

Oh dear.....
24 August 2002
I have seen LOTR, Willow, et al, and I really thought that this would be the best of all that type of genre. What a disappointment ! There was such a great potential here, but for me, the story line petered-out quickly, and the acting was dire. Perhaps the casting director shouldn't work again either ? I mean, Jeremy Irons as the bad guy - c'mon !! He's bad enough acting as a good guy, never mind trying to be the badest thing that ever was in D&D-land.

The highlight for me was Zoe McLellan, brilliant acting.

As an ex-dungeoneer myself, I was looking forward to the film getting the party together in some way, then getting on with battling foes through a 'dungeon' of some sort, but, to my amazement, when they did finally get together, and attempt to enter the dungeon, blow me over with a feather, only the feeble human can get in to grab the eye of the dragon ??? Pathetic !! And that was it !????

I feel the film-makers missed a big chance here of great success. Obviously, many dungeoneers like me will have watched it thinking that this would bring up to date in visuals the months or years of boardRPG-ing that they endured, but no.

It was sadder than a sad thing.

The Erotic Ghost (2001 Video)
Titillation....
1 November 2001
Soft, yes, pure titillation. All the girls are sexy, curvy and just wonderful to watch. For me, the best scene was Jade Duboir using the strap-on to take the bored housewife. Shame we didnt see the office secretary getting some action ? Overall, not much to write home about, but never-the-less pleasing to the eye.

Virtual Girl (1998 Video)
Virtually Soft Porn

Yes, this had me expecting a lot, but alas, it didnt deliver a lot.

The girl(s) are great, especially the computerised method of changing from one girl into another seamlessly - phew !,really great - but apart from this aspect, the film really was lacking. It is a reasonable story, though a few along similar lines are around now without the nudity.

Excellent photography, as usual, with the girls.

Sexy film, classy girls
15 July 2000
This is a sexy film, with a plot, albeit a bit thin, but then this is a sex film. The girls are good looking and have that classiness about them. I like the fireside scene on the treasure chest personally, very sensual.Generally good camera work all round throughout the film.
