Identity (2003)
State execution ...problem?
I think in the end the idea that the state was willing to execute the mind of a child-like, being is the question. The actions of a "child" should not be reason for elimination even as diabolical the crime. Interesting though, that we do not really know who was "killed" by Malcolm, only that he was on his way to execution.
Ash Wednesday (2002)
What's that smell?
This movie stunk. Slow and plauding. I couldn't get past the baby faced Elijah Wood as a hit man, married man with son & who had disappeared for 3 years. He had to have been 12 years old when he disappeared. I can only think that Edward Burns is a personal friend of Elijah Wood, thus the miscasting. I also couldn't get over how many characters in this film and in this district "Hells Kitchen " were Catholic (Forehead Crosses) and had Irish accents, as if they were recent immigrants from the old country. This could be plausible if it was the 19th century but 1980...no way.
The Tailor of Panama (2001)
What?????
I don't appreciate ridiculous endings and this movie had me going back & forth until........what??? Well someone should have landed in jail don't you think? Life goes on? I don't think so! At least not like this. Lives & relationships in this situation, would have been destroyed.
