Rude Boy (1980)
Unwatchable mess..
Let me start off by saying im a dedicated Clash fan. I have every single track ever issued by this legendary group and they are my all time favourite group. I bought this movie took it home and eagerly put it on the vcr. What followed was a catastrophy. The movie trys to cash in on the Clash's socialist stance by reflecting politics in mid 70's britain. It miserably fails. Its an extremely boring film only redeemable for Clash sittings and performances through the movie I really do recommend staying away.
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
The synopsys of horror films
Night of the living dead is the definition of horror. B movie, extremely gory (for its time), cheesy atmosphere, claustrophobic. Mainly everything a really good horror pic needs. Followed by the also classic Dawn of the Dead a George A Romero classic!!!!
SubUrbia (1996)
A movie that hits home.....
For the juvenile delinquents, slackers of the world this movie rings true. Its a good movie but can only be understood by those that lived it. Its about a bunch of kids that chill outside a convenience store. It goes through there problems and is sort of melodramatic. It shows the human side of " those children that you spit on as they try to change their world " to paraphrase David Bowie. All in all its just a movie for teens to watch and find comfort in. Its not as good as Richard Linklatters other films....... I recommend Slacker.
Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)
The best in the series
In a few short words..... Rent Friday the 13th part 2, forget about the 1st one this is where it all begins. Jason rises from the Lake and looks for prey. This movie is a true slasher. Unlike the friday series after part 5 it doesn't go for laughs. Its grainy, under produced, and all the actors are unknowns.... the way a horror movie should be!!!!!
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)
The 2nd best of the Nightmare Series- A means to an end
Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is a horror classic. Different from what you might have read on this page it is the best of the Nightmare sequels. This ones about a bunch of teens locked in a physchiatric ward because of their dreams about Freddy. At first the Shrinks think the kids are hurting themselves but after some weird occurrences they begin to see differently. These same said kids are also the last of the elm street kids!!!! I wont go too much into the plot as to save you time. This entry however I will warn is the beginning of the Nightmare series as special effects extravaganza. The movie puts a huge deal of reliance on the fx unlike the first which was mainly just a standard slasher. Wes Craven scripted this one so I believe this is the movie he had in mind as the sequel to Nightmare 1 anyways Enjoy!!!!!
Two Thousand Maniacs! (1964)
The worst kind of trash
Except for the obvious and quite funny similarities to Deliverance (which was something like 20+ years later) this movie is awful. I saw it at a second run cinema with my friend and we were both pretty shocked at how stupid it was. Oh well it seemed like a good movie by the marquee whatever!!
