The best part of this flick was the chimpanze that talked like John Wayne, and the rather tall man who was so flexible that he could give himself head. Great porn flick, where can I get it in VHS!I believe I read somewhere that this was produced by the same crew that did Flesh Gordon. which was my all time favorite adult flic.

Tora ,Tora,Tora was much superior in the actual plot of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. There was more dialogue on the Japanese side, and besides there were too many Chinese actors playing Japanese admirals!But you got Tora, The Titanic, 30 seconds over Tokyo(without Spencer Tracey and Van Johnson), and Star Wars, with Afleck being Luke Skywalker in the aerial combat scenes.Kate was drop dead beautiful, which eased the pain somewhat. In the bombing raids, the planes seemed to be flying faster than today's jets. And the explosions covered more area that the aliens weapons in Independence Day!And I can't picture FDR saying bullshit!This movie should have ended at the end of the Dec. 7th raid, with additional information about the Doolittle raid and Midway in the rolling credits(which come to think of it didn't even roll!)And talk about miscasting, how about Baldwin playing Doolittle. I'm going to rent Tora,Tora, Tora again to regain my faith in movie making of this sort.

I can't believe that this movie didn't get an oscar nomination. This was a real romance, that took realstic turns for the better or worse, but in the end Amy Irving threw out all her aspirations about the ideal mate and went for what was in her heart. The camera shots on her made you want to jump into the screen and take over(if you know what I mean!). Not being Jewish, what did they do to that poor little baby in front of all those people?(just kidding!).Rent this movie on a lazy Sunday afternoon, and enjoy. You might recognize Dr. Niles Crane!.

This movie is fun because there's Betty Grable,And Robert Cummings, and Don Ameche. What's amazing is that this big party goes non-stop, with music in the background non-stop, reflecting how esteemed a place Miami was back in 1940, for the idle rich or the psuedo-rich!This is nostalgia at it's zenith. It makes you want to party non-stop around the pool, and not have to work for a living like the rest of these people(so it would seem), until Don Ameche announces that he'll sell refigerators!

I went to this movie because I am a runner. I think I was the only one in the whole theater."As Mike Douglas so aptly put it "No one came" as in "some came running...get it...well...The movie was a big disappointment. First of all, the lead men in the Boston Marathon scene could never have built like football players. to be honest, Michael was the only one who looked like a legitimate runner. It started off with him getting up in the wee hours, guzzling down orange juice, and running fully clothed for his job to work. I believe he would have had a good case of heartburn by the time he got there!And the end when he is heroically crawling to the finish line after everyone else has gone...too much . The only realistic aspect was his relationship with his wife, who couldn't handle this business of her husband running, not working and taking care of the family. It seems he couldn't do both.

After seeing this film on the heels of "Saving Private Ryan", I wish I could have my money back. First of all, Guadalcanal was won by the First Marine Division, not the army. Second of all it was so boring, that I literally fast forwarded this movie , looking for something interesting, but never found it.This movie simply put, beats a dead horse to death!(redundancy in this case is excusable)

General "happy jack" Kirby is cool, and unassuming, and drinks coffee twenty four hours a day, and catnaps like Edison. His job is to surprise the B52 wings and make sure that they are combat ready in case of enemy attack. The only objection to the story line is the never ending conflict with husband and wife because his job is so demanding. I think he was an officer in the Air Force when they got married, and didn't she realize this situation going in?And of course Rod Taylor playing the XO was a joke with his familiarity with the troops;he should have been a sargeant at best. But, in spite of the negatives, I seem to have watched this film several times, and enjoyed it and am giving it a 6.....

I was stationed in Korea for a year during the spring offensive , heartbreak ridge, etc. and they showed this movie one night. We loved it. Satchmo singing a "kiss to build a dream on" was fantastic. And would you believe we had the projectionist replay the Sally Forrest dance scene a dozen times!I gave this movie a 7 because it brought back memories after 50 years, even though ,aside from the good jazz, and Sally Forrest, the acting and story was mediocre. I only regret that it isnt on VHS.

If you appreciate the acting ability of Marissa Tomei, such as her great role in My Cousin Vinny, you will like this one. Everyone was superb, except that idiot that ran around in his birthday suit thruout the movie!
