Blade II (2002)
Extremely over-the-top
Well, what can I say? I went to see Blade 2 tonight and I got just what I was looking for. Over-the-top fight scenes accompanied by gore deluxe. Now, I am not complaining, but when I say this movie was overdone, I mean it.
Just watch for yourself, I think you will agree. It was an exciting thrill ride, with few quiet points. Bottom line, fun to watch, like the first, but expect to laugh a lot at the corny sections as well.
7 out of 10 stars.
Super Mario World (1990)
An extremely well put together game.
I remember when I was 11 and my parents got me a SNES for Christmas. Imagine the glee when I opened it up and found the next chapter in the Mario Bros. series along with it. I played that game for days, and I am not exaggerating in the least. It was so addictive. Some of the new, shoot-em-up, blow everything to smitherines games could learn a great deal from this game and the entire Mario Bros. series.
Game Cube had better put another Mario game out.
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
Not for the non-thinker.
I saw A.I. no more than two hours ago and I must say that I am rather pleased with what I saw. But, I will give this disclaimer before going any further, if you are hoping to not have to use your noggin' during this film, you had better look for another movie.
This movie seems timid and harmless during some moments and then it grabs you, flings you around, and then hurls you against the wall. It is that kind of atmosphere that Stanley Kubrick excelled in, and Spielberg adapted well too.
Osmond did an exceptional job, but my award for best actor in this movie was not to him, but the Gigolo Joe. Jude Law did great as this harmless, almost emotionless "mecha". But, he was always there for David, Osmond, all the way until the end.
Ok, enough of me, I will not spoil it for those who want to see it.
Overall, not for the non-thinker, see this movie to really have to think about what love really is, along with why we are here to begin with, and some undertones of how we treat others.
Baby Monitor: Sound of Fear (1998)
This was bad!!
Some friends and I happened to be flipping through the channels and we came across this movie. USA has had a history of coming out with bad movies, but this one took the cake. Those were the two dumbest criminals since Home Alone. Anyways, it sucks, please don't waste the time or braincells watching it.
