Hulk (2003)

GREAT
20 June 2003
The Hulk is probably the best Comic book movie ever made (around the Midst of X2). It is more like a comic book than any other comic book based film ever. The Cameras are absolutely wonderful, the unique shots keep you watching and wondering what happens next. At times yes the visual effects could have been better, but that means they would have to spend 4 years on it like the Star War films, for just under two years of production the Hulk looks great. Most of the Scenes are overwhelming. Great Acting, Superior Direction (especially for a comic book film). Entertaining Action and Adventure, and best of all dark emotions. There is emotion in this film which propels this film. (this is where Spider-Man lacked). Overall: 9/10. One star off due to some of the visual effects. Everything else is top notch.

Solid garbage
30 November 2002
Not much to say about this film - don't they know that Iceland is GREEN and Greenland is filled with ICE, what idiot wrote the script. Yet this film is better than World is not Enough, but can't touch the ground Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies walks on. This film is better when it feels less like a bond film - What i mean is the intresting beginning, A complete total downfall from there though. Nothing connects - everything jumps around, script could of been written by a twelve year old.

Overall: Makes "I SPY" feel like a spy thriller masterpiece.

A KNOCK out of a film
15 October 2002
You couldn't have waited any longer for this film to be released. Production was completed in late 1999 and was expected to come out in early to the middle of 2000. I guess there were some major complications because it got pushed around release dates for two years. (New Line Cinema even delayed it to bring out `I Am Sam' in 2001.) When four young mobsters have problems with a bag full of money and have to go to a small town in Montana to retrieve it, you can't help but to applaud the original and quirky script from Koppelman and Levien. The comedy comes in just at the right spots and the action comes in to keep you watching and leaving you entertained. Before you can say a picture like this can have no morale values to the person watching it, they boggle you and throw in some very good advice to everyone. The Characters are played out very well; some very good character twists (especially from the Sheriff – played by Tom Noonan).

The Ring (2002)

The Ring will haunt you!
4 October 2002
The Ring is the best horror film i have ever seen, I am afraid to admit it but it even surpassed Psycho(1960). This kind of film is a treasure and should go down in history as the film to watch on Halloween. The film holds a PG-13 Rating and it still terrifies you down to the last bone in your body. Naomi Watts coming fresh off Muhollund Drive does a decent job as a mother and a victim of the situation of the videotape. No gore or blood, instead great quick shots and a haunting score from master Hans Zimmer causes this film to scare without the over done sick killer movie. (ex. Scream). Watch the unique shots and colors in this film - they will stick with you. BY THE way you will never look at another Television the same WAY! The Ring is GREAT! 9/10

Television's version of HEAT!
29 September 2002
Robbery Homicide is a television show that should not be missed, Tom Sizemore showing off one of his best performances to date. This show is quite like the Movie HEAT - which was also created by Michael Mann and starred Tom Sizemore (but he was a robber in the film - compared to the lead lieutenat in R.H.D.) The Show is gritty while stile keeping its entertaining edge - no doubt it will keep you watching until the final climax. Great co-star and guest star performances (First Episode starred Mario Van Peebles (who starred in ALI also directed by Michael Mann)). Think of this show similar to NYPD Blue or The Shield - but not as dark and dirty as The SHIELD. Similarities are common in many cop dramas - so you can make your own assumptions on what this show is like! The best part of it all, The CAMERAS are used very well and precise- showing exactly the right thing at the right time.

An outstanding One Hour
14 September 2002
One hour photo is an outstanding piece of artistic work. From beginning to end Photo delivers. Between the hour and a half Photo has some very slow parts only to build you up to the suspense. All in all One Hour Photo could of been made into a one hour movie and still be as good or better than it is now. Do not get me wrong One Hour Photo is one of the better films I have seen this year. Robin Williams really stepped up his career this past year or two (see also Insomnia). He is now in my book for one of the most versatile actors to date. Connie Nielsen (Nina Yorkin) is great like usual- from Mission to Mars to Gladiator Connie Nielsen is a well developed actress that just has not got the name for herself yet( hopefully she will, she is great). Eriq LaSalle is a great suprise actor in this film playing a smooth not over-acted cop. He brings to the screen necessity of a cop character - nice to see him in something great after E.R. Director Mark Romanek makes a wise choice for his first hit film - should have a great career in his future if he keeps this up. It seems he kind of over did it with the nudity but it wasn't entirely bad, it wasn't like it was a Porno. The end will leave you on the edge of your seat (cliche for all suspense movies, but this really does). You could not ask for anymore out of any involved in this picture. Last the composition for this film is absolutely amazing. The composers from Twyker's Run Lola Run and The Princess and the Warrior create a smooth and paced film score that is one of the better ones i have ever heard. The score fits the film so well that during the semi-slow scenes the music keepes you intrested. What a GREAT film - in my opinion a MUST SEE! One Hour Photo - 8/10

Bad Company (2002)

Entertainment Plus
3 June 2002
Overall: Bad Company is pure Energy, plenty of action and humor to keep you from walking out of this movie.

Acting: These two mismatched actors (Hopkins - Rock) are perfect for this kind of movie. Their acting of course is not oscar or any kind of award, but it works for this movie.

Production: This movie looks stylish, action sequences are done for your pleasure, and you will hopefully be pleased. What can you ask from Jerry Bruckheimer (Pearl Harbor - Beverly Hills Cop - Top gun - Rock - Con Air - Enemy of the State - Armageddon - all the way to Black Hawk Down) As you can tell this guy makes one blockbuster after another and they please the audience especially if it involves a lot of action.

Comments: From reading this you all know i enjoyed this film - action plus - i give it 3/4 stars (minus one for some of those cliches and cheesy remarks you learn to expect from action movies.) You may not like it, everybody as their own opinions, but i did like it i really enjoyed it, check it out for yourself.

Superior to all others
20 January 2002
Black Hawk Down (****)

The movie is realistic and emotionally, making it a superior war movie.

The movie is very gory, but the scenes are quick and right into another

action sequence. I wouldn't think the scenes would haunt you!

A must see film, 10 out of 10.

Did the Director have an obsession with teenagers showing themselfs
16 August 2001
I mean this movie could of been very good except for a couple key elements. The crazed i like to hit my child gay man next door. Didn't need his character to end like that, that was quite disturbing. Last but the most important is did this director have an obsession to see teens naked, a long seen with mena's breasts, and a scene of Birch's too. Not to mention some nudity of wes bentleys butt, all this nudity was very unnessary to the story, the movie would of done just as good without it. Sam mendes has potential, since this was only his second film, but he need to learn to develop a story with nudity, the better movies in history have not had nudity and neither do the movies today, like for example (Pearl Harbor - Epic movie, its got love, romance, action, war drama, and war action all without nudity. Except when the movie comes out on dvd, it will have a quick scene of Kate's rear, i think that is unnessary too). Sam Mendes your good but you actually could be great.

walkin in the park
18 July 2001
This is an intense ride. The spinosauraus (if that is how you spell

it) is absolutely scary and intense. The only thing i didn't like about it is there was not enough of the t-rex one scene that really stinks.

But the flying dinosaurs make up for it they are cool too. The kid trevor morgan does a pretty good job for a child, cause you rarely see a child do good in a movie (proving it STAR WARS episode one.) I am so glad it wasn't that gruesome except the blood on the plane windows, but still it is a lot less blood than the first two. And another bad thing is the raptors are too smart, in this movie it makes the raptors look smarter than the humans, no offense to those humans. Overall this is a great movie 9/10 which is very good. I gave the lost world 6/10 and the first jurassic park 10/10. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

Pearl Harbor will blow you AWAY!
5 July 2001
Pearl Harbor is very well done in every aspect of movie making. Yes the movie is long but it is needed to be that long to show everything it needs to show.

The acting is superb. All should win an oscar especially- Jon Voight, Kate Beckinsale, and Josh Hartnett. The visual and sound deserves oscars. The directing and producing deserves oscars. Since Jerry and Michael are the best in film making these days. overall this movies rocks, and an epic movie that i hope goes down in history, for making you cry making you cheer and making you sit on the edge of your seat. SEE this MOVIE!!!
