Bamboozled (2000)
one of his best joints
This film achieves what it is intended to do, it constantly Bamboozels the viewer. Spike does this very well. The digital video is great, Damon does an excellent job, Jada has grown as an actress, Savion's feet are certainly educated, and my man Rapaport was off the hook, this boy is off the hinges yo! That preformance is certainly is his best and im sure more are to come. MosDef also gave a wonderful preformance along with the MAUMAU CREW. The direction is ace, as usuall by the man Shelton "SPIKE" Lee. Make sure to watch it on DVD to get the full experience, and prepare to be BAMBOOZELED.
She's Gotta Have It (1986)
yo baby, baby, baby please baby baby please
Spike Lee's directoral debut is classic. How can he go wrong with a black and white film... BW is the best. This film is made up of great characters(Mars) and perfect, orginal direction. I think Spike did a great job with the editing too.. oh I almost forgot his screen debut as and actor too, which was perfect as well. A smile came to my face every time Mars came in the mix, especially the Thanksgiving scene. I love those glasses Spike. 9/10
New York, New York (1977)
marty making good use of a large budget
In my opinion this is one of Scorsese's best films. One could only imagine what he(Martin) would have wanted for the final cut. Bob gives another A+ preformance, along with Liza. For the "Happy Endings" sequence, I would say that is some of Scorsese's best direction ever. A viewer might think this film is a little long... well, I say get some balls and enjoy the show, it's worth every minute. 9/10
