American Dragon: Jake Long: Homecoming (2007)
Season 2, Episode 20
9/10
The Best Episode of the Second Season!
3 March 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Oh wow! Everything you were wondering about Rose's family and the Huntsclan is answered. I would like to take this time to say to you: The Huntsman dies! No, I'm not kidding. And Rose almost dies, too. Almost.

Jake and Rose are nominated for the Homecoming king and queen. But, the happiness is short lived for the Huntsman finds out about Rose's betrayal. The Huntsman then tells Rose that he knows where her parents are and if she doesn't get him all the skulls, he can have them killed.

I will not say anymore except this: this episode is dramatic, suspenseful and it completes the Jake and Rose story, but it is not the way the audience wants it to be finished.

The voice acting is excellent. Dante Basco and Mae Whitman are very convincing at the end and it is quite heart-wrenching. And for Jeff Bennett, out of all the characters he played, the Huntsman was my favorite.

This episode is not to be missed by all Am Drag fans. I would say to the parents, though: if you have a fan who is under 7, I would suggest that you watch this with them. Rose destroys all Huntsclan in a way which might frighten your younger kids and then Rose almost meets the same fate, which will have your kids in tears. They will be crying all night. But it's worth it. Do not miss this episode!

Night Time is the Right Time...
14 February 2007
Warning: Spoilers
To watch this movie! I don't know why all the fans hate this one. The deaths are awesome (ie being electrocuted on a control panel) and this had good acting.

First, the most important thing in a slasher movie. The deaths! The deaths are awesome. Wayne's was my favorite. Ooh! That's gotta hurt! I also liked Mile's. Falling and then being impaled on the deck post.

The acting is also good. Kane Hodder is the best Jason. Kelly Hu did a fine job in her film debut. Peter Mark Richman and Sharlene Martin are good as the characters you are glad to see meeting their gruesome demise. But, probably the stand out for me was Martin Cummings as Wayne. His death scene was awesome and I really liked his character's attitude. Even after being dissed by the girl he wants to be with, he just smiles and insults himself.

I really don't see what all the negativity is all about. Out of the first 8, this one is my favorite and any Friday the 13th fan should check this out!

So far the worst Friday Installment, but still decent
20 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I started out really enjoying this movie, but then came horribly done deaths. The double impalement was crap. All it showed was a shocked face and a bloody spear. I just wanted to say I hated that death scene. They could have done better than that. The machete splitting the face also could have done better. It just shows it happen from behind and then he rolls down the stairs. I was disappointed with that death too. Finally, the end was so random! I was waiting to see this film for a long time and I found a spoiler that Paul disappeared and was presumed dead and I thought that would be an interesting thing to see in a slasher film. What I got was extremely disappointing. It was just "where's Paul?" and that was it! Disappointing!

Other than that, I enjoyed it. It had some funny lines. I guess I'll give it a 6 out of 10 and a grade of around C+.

American Dragon: Jake Long: Hairy Christmas (2006)
Season 2, Episode 16

Unique and has the Christmas Spirit
17 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is very unique and in a way different than the others.

It is Christmas Eve and Fu is our story teller as he explains about 2 magical creatures who are not having a good holiday. Those 2 creatures would be Jake Long The American Dragon who has dealt with his family's imbecilic Christmas traditions for too long and has finally snapped, and a baby sasquatch who has been separated from it's family. With the help of Trixie, who is depressed because her father will not be home for Christmas and a very festive Spud, Jake goes out to find the baby, but he has some competition: Rotwood who wants to prove that magical creatures exist and 88 and 89 who were looking for a Christmas present for the Huntsman when they heard about the sasquatch. At least they realize the true spirit of the holidays.

As I've said, this is a unique episode. We finally see Trixie getting emotional and Fu hurling up Egg-Nog was great. Even the Huntsboys had some good lines. Although Fu being a minstrel felt a little weird and do the Huntsboys have anything to wear other than those uniforms?

Cute movie and has some very funny moments
19 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This was a pretty cute movie. It had a lot of ball hitting, but that was really funny. The film stars Kate Winslet, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellan, Andy Serkis, Bill Nighy and Jean Reno.

Roddy (Hugh Jackman)is a mouse that is living the high life, until someone pushes him in the toilet and he is... well, Flushed Away. There he meets Rita (Kate Winslet) a mouse who is trying to keep her ruby out of the hands of the evil Toad (Ian McKellan)and his 2 henchmen (Andy Serkis and Bill Nighy). At first, Rita and Roddy hate each other, but after a while they start to work together and spend some quality time together. But the Toad won't give up and he hires his cousin (Jean Reno) to capture the 2.

This movie is well done. It has funny moments and likable characters. The slugs singing "Mr. Lonely" was funny even though I can't stand that song.

Why Rotwood? Why?
18 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I was a little disappointed when I saw this after the preview looked so awesome!

Jake gets ticked off with Rotwood and gets him fired and ends up with a new principal who has a plot to reveal dragons to the world! The ending is great. I loved that it kept you in suspense. Just like Avatar always does. The subplot with Stacey being wooed with onions was funny and the opening with the Spud/Stacey sitcom was great.

But why Rotwood, must you trick Jake into him revealing his powers to you? Oh well. At least you now know and could become even more of a villain. Wooh! For a minute there, I really thought Jake and Rotwood were going to bond. Disgusting! How could Jake bond with that evil evil evil man?

The villain was kind of lame. I was really hoping he was the Huntsman. He made such a good first impression and then he turned into the Principal from Hell!

Student Body by Jake makes a lot more sense than Supernatural Tuesday
29 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Let me just start this off by asking: Other than legal reasons, why did they change this to Supernatural Tuesday? Student Body by Jake makes more sense.

Pretty good episode. Very funny. The end credit scene was great. The rap battle was just as good as I expected. But the scene where Jake is reading that kid's mind;he hears "I'm just a vote to him" and he says "You're more than a vote to me" and when he hears Spud thinking "inhale, exhale, inhale again, exhale again, I need to blink" was incredibly funny. I was kind of hoping Jake's new crush would have some lines. Nigel's spells sounded really cheesy, though.

Good episode. I really hope I don't have to wait a month or two for the next new episode of Jake.

What's up with Keone Young's voice?
22 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I like this movie. It's probably the second best in the series. Sarah Paxton was really good. Judith Houge was very funny with the talking to the toilet and bird bath and using her magic in public. Kristy Wu was wonderfully wicked. J Paul Zimmerman was well, Dylan. Lucas Greebreal was pretty darn good, although I felt he could have done a little bit more. Debbie Reynolds, in her very small role, was quite good. The people who played Grogg and the Chancellor lady had their moments. My only problem was with Keone Young's voice. I hated that they altered it. It was quite annoying. The lady who played that Professor who was undercover was great.

Good acting, good story, funny scenes, great effects for a DCOM make this movie a success. 8 out of 10.

American Dragon: Jake Long: Haley Gone Wild (2006)
Season 2, Episode 13
8/10
Wildly entertaining
1 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this episode. Jake persuades Haley to do something bad, which for her is to watch a puppet show that Mr. Long thinks is repulsive. Haley enjoys it so much she sneaks out at night with Jake to a video game givaway, she later steals a DVD player from her grandfather to watch her show. It turns out that the show Haley is watching has an evil star that is brainwashing children to become punks and it's all Jake's fault!

This episode has one of my higher ratings. I feel that Mr. Long should lay off his son and because he is so overprotective he's starting to think Jake is becoming a rebel. I'm glad Haley finally got hers after her harrassing Jake in "Family Business". Overall, I found it better than "Family Business" and the ending is very silly.

American Dragon: Jake Long: A Befuddled Mind (2006)
Season 2, Episode 10

A Pleasant Surprise
10 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Let's just say I was not too excited about this episode. An episode all about Spud. Oh boy.

Jake tricks Spud into getting a perfect score on a test and Spud is taken away to a University. Little does Jake know, he set his friend up with the evil Eli Pandarus. Pandarus plans to use the smartest out of all the kids to use them to open Pandora's Box. And it ends up being Spud. Jake and Trixie save Spud, but Pandarus escapes. We also see Monty Hall again. And a crying Rotwood.

This episode was pretty good. Loa-Shi laughing himself to death (not literally) when he found out Spud aced the test was very funny and also when Pandarus has Spud tied up and Spud laughs evilly and says his evil laugh needed work was pretty funny. The Spud mime thing got old pretty fast.

Pandarus is much better this season than he was last season. He is less of a coward and he is a lot more willing to kill people who get in his way, unlike last season. I would like to see at least one more episode with the new Pandarus.

It made Titanic's special effects look like Barney
23 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Don't get me wrong, Titanic is one of my favorite films, but the special effects in this film blow Titanic's out of the water. The film stars Josh Lucas as Dylan a gamblar turned hero when the ship capsizes and starts to sink, Kurt Russell as the ex-mayor, ex-fire fighter Robert Ramsey, Emmy Rossum as Robert's in love daughter, Kevin Dillon as Lucky Larry who acts like a jerk before being crushed to death and Mia Maestro as Elena who has stowed away on the ship to see her sick brother (spoiler) sadly, Elena hits her head and drowns in the disaster.

The action scenes are intense with some graphic and disturbing deaths along with tons of dead bodies.

Overall, I found this film fun to watch, although I find it very wrong that the only character who seems to be religious and actually pray for safety is killed.

A Very Special Episode
14 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is pretty special. Now I know that even as a teenager Jonathan Long was an idiot. Jake time travels back to 1986 to tell his dad the truth about magical creatures because he is tired of his dad grounding him every other week for his missions. Jake steals his mother's letter (which explains the family secret) and puts it in his dad's locker. After reading the letter, Mr. Long freaks out and breaks up with mom. Things get worse when Jonathan unknowingly tells the Huntsclan about the Dragons. Jake then shows him a picture of his future family and Jonathan realizes that his love for Susan is stronger than his fear and he helps stop the Huntsclan. But, back in the future, Mr. Long assumes it was all a dream and still doesn't know.

This episode is funny (I love how it shows that Loa-Shi thinks Jake's dad is a dork). The past huntsman is very odd and I feel sorry for Jake for being punished for something his grandfather and the dragon council are forcing him to do. 9/10

You know, Sun and Loa-Shi shouldn't have been that mad at Jake
6 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, I liked this episode. Although so far I've given this the lowest grade (B-), I still hold this episode in very high regard.

The story is good. Haily begins her dragon training and ends up doing better than Jake. Jake has had a hard time. Haily has outdone him at everything but being the American Dragon, which really pisses Jake off. and to make matters worse for Jake, Haily stole Jake's spot on a magical magazine. So, Jake pulls a prank on Haily by giving her "Dragon Giggles" which causes Haily to lose control of her powers. This all ends with Haily being captured. When Sun Park and Loa-Shi find out Jake caused all this-- OMG! Anyway, Jake saves Haily, but he is in major trouble for the prank.

Good episode. We have now seen a comical Grim Reaper and Jake's evil grin will put a smile on my face for many years.

Fun
30 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I have to admit, this movie was good. Although I didn't expect the poisoning the lemonade.

The story is about Jamie (Kay Pannabaker) who accidentally turns her private journal into a book. In the journal, Jamie has things the way she wishes they were. There is Is (Dannielle Pannabaker) who is Jamie's alter ego and she fights "evil", namely Myrna (Allison Scagliotti) who in the real world is Sawyer who is the school bully who harasses Jamie. Jamie becomes really popular to the school, but ends up leaving her friends (Alexandra Krosney, Jason Dolley, and Marquise Brown) out in the cold. Things go from bad to worse when she accidentally slips to the whole world that Myrna is Sawyer and that she based all the other characters on students. The only person who isn't mad at her is Marco (Chad Broskey) who she based Is' hot crush on. In the end, it turns out that Is is not who she seems and Marco is a fake who used Jamie's friend to get by in school. Everyone forgives her, except for Sawyer.

This movie was very fun to watch. I'll just say I didn't expect much after Wendy Wu. This was A LOT better than that crap. Although the fact that Marco would turn out to be a jerk was so predictable.

Monster House (2006)
8/10
It was sure better than Polar Express!
26 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I saw this movie on opening day because it was hot and I had nothing better to do. I wanted to see this movie, and once again, a new DVD shall be coming this way around Christmas.

This movie is good. On the night before Halloween D.J. (Hannah Montana's Mitchell Musso) loses his friends basketball. He goes over to get it and causes mean old Mr. Nebblecracker (Steve Buscemi) to come outside and yell at him. All of a sudden, he collapses and D.J. believes he is dead. Then comes babysitter from hell Zee (Maggie Gyllenhall). That night the house comes alive and eats Zee's drunken boyfriend (Jason Lee). D.J. and his friend know something weird is going on and get Jenny (Phil of the Future's Spencer Locke) to help. Eventually, they find out Nebbercracker is not dead and he helps them destroy the house.

This movie could be creepy for little kids. I knew the Nebbercracker collapse was coming because of Wikkipedia. The story of Nebbercracker's wife being buried alive in cement was spooky.

I liked this movie, but unfortunately, all the people who got eaten came back to life after the house was destroyed. If you ask me, those cops and Bones deserved to be eaten by that house.

As much as I believe Jack got what he deserved...
7 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I still can't believe he's gone. And how did Barbossa come back?

This film was good, but the first was a little better. The performances are good. Johnny Depp is just as funny. No. Funnier. His "I feel like shooting something" was funny but not as funny as when he shot the monkey in front of that weird woman. Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly are just as good as they were in the first film, Bill Nighy was wonderfully evil and Geffrey Rush, although he only had one line was very good.

The story was better than the first but the first 15-20 minutes were somewhat slow. Although I did laugh a lot.

Overall- better story, funnier lines, not as much violence (but when there is violence, it is quite intense), but still, the first one is better but Dead Man's Chest is a must buy on DVD and it might stick in my mind for quite a while.

Can you say fake?
2 July 2006
Worst DCOM I have seen. Ever. Well, maybe not as bad as Smart House. This was just bad. The acting and story was fine, but the effects SUCKED!

They were so fake! The only good fight scene was between the brother and Shen. That was probably the only scene in which I was excited.

Overall, I found this movie very boring and the film kind of ended suddenly.

I will give it a four for Brenda Song who is a very funny actress and that one fight scene.

Leaves too many questions
25 June 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I really liked this episode. In fact, I taped it and now I can't stop watching it.

Jake deals with his emotions after Rose leaves him. Some of them hilarious like Jake loosing it while selling cupcakes, staring at the picture of Rose and him while listening to a blues like song and starts to sing along with it, and finally, my favorite, moving to a monostery and he has a wall full of pictures of Rose.

Jake finally finds Rose and she seems happy to see him. But soon I saw the preview for "The Academy" and it shows her fighting with Jake. Does that mean the Huntsman is forcing Rose to fight Jake or is Rose leading Jake into a trap?

Can't wait to find out!

Stick with the old animation
22 June 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I liked it. But not for the new animation. It's bad. The animation that is. What is with the Huntsclan uniforms and what the hell is wrong with the dragons? Loa-Shi's little beard takes up 75% of his face and Jake's dragon form, I don't even want to go there! Rose looks like Paris Hilton!

Okay, the story is good. 3 crazy sisters want to turn the world to stone and the jerky cheerleaders are under their control, so Trixie goes undercover.

This episode has funny lines such as "I swear I didn't know that toilet was art."

I will never hate ADJL, but I want the old animation back.

Right up there with Shrek
22 June 2006
This movie is great. The stand out performances for me were Bruce Willis and Steve Carell. Most of the animals were cute and cuddly.

The best jokes were the cheese bomb, Hammy being the only person in the world who was moving, and when R.J. was describing how humans live to eat. Clever!

Other than the stand outs the cast was good. Nick Nolte was good as Vincent, William Shatner was funny as the possum. Avril Legvine was good as the daughter. Wanda Sykes was good, too. Gary Sandling was good, but I just preferred R.J. over his character.

9 out of 10. Funny movie. Don't miss.

Depressing yet funny

The beginning of this episode is sad. It is the anniversary of the day that Lilo's parents were killed in that terrible car accident. A depressed Lilo takes a nap to get it off her mind, but as she sleeps Jumbaa notices that his nightmare experiment slips into her head. Knowing that if Lilo wakes up while it is inside her head, it will be stuck and she will have nightmares every night for the rest of her life. So they go inside her head and see some weird things.

Gantu doing the hula is very funny.

Just one thing, in Lilo's dream, Victoria is making fun of her, but

they friends in the episode with the muckus bat, right?

Really funny
25 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I love Pooh! He is so cute and so funny! Anyway, this has got to be one of the best idea's for Pooh they've had. Pooh, Piglet , Tigger, Rabbit and Roo wake up to a strange noise. Rabbit thinks it's a heffalump and he decides that they all should capture it. Roo is ordered not to go because he is too young, but the next morning he sneaks out to capture one and he finds one only to find out that they are not scary at all, but just like them. Meanwhile, Pooh and Piglet get lost in the woods. They are soon reunited and they go back to the wood to find Lumpy the Heffalump with Roo. Thinking it is attacking him, Pooh, Piglet and Tigger trap Lumpy until he falls down a cliff and in an attempt to save him, Roo is trapped in a bunch of logs.

This movie is very funny. When Pooh eats Piglet's jelly beans and when he says that a heffalump forced him to eat his honey are funny. Some other funny parts are when Tigger mocks Rabbit while he's making a speech and when Lmpy's mother shows up Tigger and Rabbit pass out and of course when Pooh does a face plant into his honey pot.

B+ good film

Overrated
25 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This film is supposed to be "the best Pixar film". I disagree. The film is incredibly overrated. Sharks that are trying to not eat fish, what the hell are they supposed to eat? Just wondering. Although Ellen DeGenerous is awesome as Dory. Dory was one of the 2 things that saved this film. The second was the animation. The beginning is beautiful and truly has the pixar animation. Although I feel this film could have been PG. The mom is killed and some of the scenes can be scary.

Overall this film is good because of Ellen DeGenerous, who is one of the best comedians.

Sorry to disappoint you huge time fans who just adore this film.

Warning: Spoilers
The ice is melting. Manny, Sid and a redeemed Diego set out to warn everyone. Manny is worried that his species are going extinct and while Diego is trying to prove him wrong, he and Sid run into 2 possums and a mammoth. But the mammoth thinks she's a possum. Meanwhile, two crocidile like creatures are freed from a block of ice and try to eat the creatures. In the end Ellie is trapped in a cave and is about to drown and Manny saves her and Diego conqers his fear of water to save Sid.

This movie is very funny. The vultures singing "food, glorious food" is great and Diego who was very serious in the first film has lightened up a bit and has more jokes.

Excellent
20 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This film has great special effects. People say Tom Cruise is bad in this, but I disagree. The film starts out with Ray who is a dad who just got divorced. For the weekend he has to take care of his kids, but it becomes a living hell when tripods attack.

Tom Cruise is great as Ray, Tim Robbins is good as Ogilvy, Miranda Otto does not have much to do as the mom and Dakota Fanning is an annoying know-it-all as the 10 year old daughter.

The special effects are great. The first scene where the tripods attack is awesome. The death scenes are cool, they blow up into dust. The boat scene was cool, too.
