Just binge watched it on amazon. I am Russian native, so watched it in Russian. Oh boy, the ending was disappointing. I really wanted it to be a good movie, but if you are a hardcore Sci-fi fan like me, you will not like the ending. I facepalmed myself to unconsciousness in the last 20 minutes of the last episode.
What I liked about the move:
What I didn't like:
You see why I didn't like the ending?
What I liked about the move:
- great visuals
- entertaining story for the first couple of episodes
What I didn't like:
- The motivation of some characters lacks logic and is sometimes just plain stupid
- The dialogues sometimes tend to turn into hysteria without any good reason. In general lots of latest Russian movies have this illness.
- The most stupid Sci-fi twist you will ever encounter: the spaceship of god-like aliens is landing on Earth and opens the big door while everyone on the ship is in hibernation, with life-supplying pipelines running all over the place in plane view, waiting for the protagonists to conveniently destroy them... No defense systems, no support crew, no preparations. Just land, open the door and see what happens. OMG, COME ON! Those guys can send things instantaneously through the universe, define gravity, read minds, supposed to be creators of humans and are our gods. Why on Earth would they be that stupid?
- Also, what the hell happened on that roof at the end? I mean, the alien guy just killed the bad alien and all those zombies, warned everyone that the big ship is coming and was ready to help the humanity. Everybody already knew his motivations and his very cold logic. He gave us zero new information. But suddenly half of the team turns into whiny idiots and manage to kill the only hope the humanity have. And the almighty god just stands there and allows it to happen!
