I Think We're Alone Now (2008)
Important
This film is more important than ever, specially in the era we live nowadays filled with celebrity obsessions and stalkers. The documentary does a fantastic job with its limitations, but I wished it could spend some time talking to specialists about mental health.
Long Shot (2019)
Surprising
A very surprising twist into the rom-con genre! A great script that embraces the cliches of the genres the right way. A perfect blend of romantic comedy with the humor of Seth Rogen.

Cheasy
It's a cool show. You can tell the bump the budget had in its second season.
But, even with a budget, unexperienced people can't make miracles. The show still looks cheap and cheesy, but it doesn't embrace it and it takes itself waaaay to serious.
Oh, yeah, add weird framing choices and bad acting to it.
O Doutrinador (2018)
Nope
I was told that this is Brazil's first attempt into making a superhero film.
I've seen some great action flicks coming out of our brothers down south, so it surprises me how much they've failed when creating this movie.
First of all, it has the aesthetics of an SNL skit. Second, the action looks like something out of Black Dynamite, or worst, one of those generic parody movies. Don't even let me get start on the story....
There were 10 people involved in this script and 2 directors. I don't want to know what any of these people has ever done before, I just want to know if any one of them has ever seen a single movie in their entire lives.
I don't get how this movie has such a good rate.
O Filme da Minha Vida (2017)
Masterpiece
Wow. Brazilian actor-turned-director Selton Mello delivers one of the most beautiful movies ever made. The director's sensibility is shown in every single frame of the picture. The story is well conducted and incredibly acted by a talented cast. I've seen the director's other movies and you can observe his evolution as a story teller. In my opinion, the best director in activity in Brazil.
Antes que Eu Me Esqueça (2018)
Beautiful
A hidden gem! Beautiful! Touching! Sweet! One of the best actings I've seen in a non-action Brazilian film! Kuddos to everyone involved in this.
O Processo (2018)
Great
A great documentary. Made me more interested into knowing the current situation of Brazilian politics.
O Animal Cordial (2017)
Stay away
I stumbled across this gem on my "tour" across Brazilian films of the past decade. This movie almost made me quit the journey.
This came highly recommended by a Brazilian friend of mine. I can't even start to describe how abysmal this film is. The script makes no sense whatsoever even for a surrealist flick. Not only that, but it has one of the most laughable dialog I've ever seen on a movie that isn't a comedy. "I know what you want! You want some p*ssy juice". - yeah, that's in the movie in a supposed "tense" sequence.
Production design looks like something out of a High School play. The movie takes place inside a restaurant, and they literally built a square with some 3x4. The production value of this feature is something out of student film quality.
Acting is over the top throughout.
My point is: stay away from this. Unless someone tells me that this is a comedy, this movie shall remain as one of the worst movies I've seen.
Salt and Fire (2016)
Underestimated
A very underestimated film by the greatest director of all. It seems like Herzog is criticized every time he conducts a movie with his hear. Critics should feel ashamed.
Grizzly Man (2005)
Herzog's Emotions
Even though conducting this film as a "watcher", Herzog is able to show his sensitive side like in no other movie of his. This movie makes us think about himan condition. The most human of Herzog's movies and, in consequence, the most touching. It's beautiful to see what great filmmakers can do when they follow their heart instead of their ego. Herzog's best!
