Avalanche Express (1979)
Exiting thriller from the Cold War era
Much better than all the so called "James Bond" movies with Daniel Craig. Lee Marvin is superb, lovely Linda Evans beautiful as ever, plenty of real action and not data-animated rubbish like the latest Bond-movies. This is a must for all lovers of cold war thrillers where Russians was the bad guys. Sadly Robert Shaw´s last movie but he did a great job. Also a nice movie for rail fans.
Skyfall (2012)
The worst of them all
Bond is really dead and Daniel Craig killed him off. This is not even a Bond-movie. All is gone that made Bond. The thrill, the romance, the humour, the good music, the incredible villains. This is just a bore. Bond looks like a English football huligan. No style, no charisma. Barbara Broccoli really managed to kill Bond off for good. Bond died when Daniel Craig took over. Then it went from fantastic adventures to just boring disaster. Even a trained monkey would be a better Bond than this. Daniel Craig really sucks. If you are a Bond-fan, avoid this mess. I saw this film once and that was enough - never more. What a torture. One had hoped that it would be the end of Bond but he came back in another total disaster, Spectre. Please - kill Bond once for all and let him out of his misery. RIP 007
The Last of the Secret Agents? (1966)
Just Love It
It is something special about movies of the 60s, and specially those James Bond spoofs. This is one of the more enjoyable. Yes, it is a comedy and it has some real highlights. To bad that there was no sequel. One of the highlights is of course Lee Hazlewood´s wonderful theme, perfectly sung by Nancy Sinatra. and with the perfect "Bond-touch", She also had a far to small part in the film. But another real hightlight is Steve Rossi´s performance of "You Are". But who were the two girls singing it with him ? I can´t find them in the cast list. Any one who knows who they are. Did they do any other work ? I was just intrigued about this stunning song. Actually, I had never seen this film before or even heard of it, except that I have heard Nancy Sinatra´s song, but did not realized that it was made for this movie. It really deserves a DVD release
