Rogue One (2016)
The original Star Wars Trilogy just got an adrenaline shot and its called Rogue One!
This film has done what no Star Wars since Return of the Jedi has done. It brought you back to the old school retro feel of the original trilogy. Not only that Rogue One creates an entirely new respect for what the Rebellion is up against when A New Hope begins. Its exciting, fast paced and brilliantly cast. The momentum doesn't let up but the drama does provide moments for the viewer to relax and breathe between intense scenes. The cameos are fantastic and the fans will squeal with delight. There really is no sequel or prequel to any film quite like Rogue One. The cinematography and camera movements are so clean and gorgeous that this may very well be the best looking film in the series. All in all Rogue One is a must see in 3D or in the classic widescreen.
Cecil and Roland (2015)
A Hoot of hilarity that will leave you gasping from laughter!
Absolutely Hilarious material!!! In this series of insanely funny moments Cecil and Roland are too very critically vocal hillbillies living in a trailer park that just can't stop contemplating the entertainment industry. Its like commentary for culture that has a hillbilly twist. Seriously great dialogue that is well delivered by the Actors all the way through. This series of shorts needs to be developed into a mainstream series it would be a shame if it does not go any further than this. Jondaniel Cornett plays brilliantly against Travis Owens hilarious commentary. Most shows that delve into the minds of Hillbillies and southern commentary fall far short of reality but Cecil and Roland absolutely NAIL the actuality of true southern dialogue when it comes to the average ignorant fool that voices his opinion amongst the shadows of the easily ignored random driveway of any trailer park etc. Good humor good fun and an absolute delight. I know these talented writers and actors need to be celebrated and given more opportunities in the future!
La belle dame sans merci (2005)
Wow what an excellent poem recreated!
The visuals are haunting and the story holds true. Few films recreate great poetry in such a way. The best way to recreate a poem of such beauty such excellence is to simply talk about it and repeat the message created from its original beauty. However that being said this film manages to capture the essence of the poem in a gorgeous way. Having studied John Keats completely I can easily say that this film would of entertained him. He died a young man and watching this would have tickled him pink. The film manages to capture the spirit of his poetry in a way that is hard to do visually. The sets are great, the actors are chosen well, and the film is absolutely beautiful. It feels like La belle dame sans merci. Worth watching and sharing!
The Jungle Book (2016)
A Classic retold the right way!
Wow! What an amazing visual experience Disney's The Jungle Book is. Jon Favreau and all of the creative team behind this film totally nailed it. This film stands alone as not just a remake but as its own fantastic journey. Mowgli is brilliantly cast as are all of the voices in this Pixar meets Avatar blend of film genius. An absolutely astonishing achievement! Bill Murray's voice shines as well as Christopher Walken and Scarlett Johansson! The plot is the same as the original but the story has been mixed up and re-hashed to allow for a completely unique experience. The Visual effects are beyond astounding! CGI has reached its peak. Adventure and excitement mixed with big laughs and genuine voice acting that brings all the characters completely to life. The music is also rehashed in a way that does not disappoint! In short The Jungle Book is an absolute must see for any individual or family!
Gator 911 (2010)
America's Steve Irwin is born!
This series covers the efforts of a team of Gator Rescuers in South East Texas that truly care about preserving the animals that run rampant in playgrounds, backyards and swamps all over Texas. Gary Saurage leads the team into multiple precarious scenarios taking the reigns over the wild lizards of the swamp lands of Texas. An educational series that brings a twist to the idea of Rescue 911. Fun and entertaining in multiple ways the country spin that this group provides on the over done Animal Planet mythology of covering Animal rescues is impossible to ignore. Gary and his crew are an original group of tough guys and gals that will not be stopped by any scenario. This is a series that shows the truth of how Reptile Rescue goes down.
School of Rock (2003)
This movie is a GEM!
This movie is a rare blend of comedy and drama that delivers the goods on all fronts. Even the sub characters deliver excellent scenes worthy of remembering. A movie worth watching again and again. Jack Black may not be able to top this fun loving character! Great music, great comedic timing and a stellar cast! The kids in the film are brilliant and the Joan is lovable as the Principal. Model/actor Lucas Babin steals the scenes he is briefly in. Richard Linklater pulls another rabbit out the hat and makes us wonder why he doesn't make more films! Thanks Mike White for your fun story. School of Rock is totally fantastic!
The Prequels Strike Back: A Fan's Journey (2016)
Nostalgia reviewed...
This most excellent presentation explores the Star Wars prequels in a light that makes one understand the necessity of these films as well as the reality that many fans of the original Star Wars trilogy were expecting something that their imagination had hyped up way too much. This film is a necessary result of too much criticism that lashed out towards very successful yet critically bashed movies that are in fact very very entertaining stand alone projects that ultimately are just as beloved as the original trilogy only by different minded individuals. A great and well executed idea for a film about a popular film series. Weatherholt has hit a nostalgic note that should resonate a revolution of re-visiting certain films over the last 15 years and not just the prequels. Thank you for this film Bradley!
Scientism Exposed (2016)
The Astounding Revolution of Truth has begun!
This most excellent documentary explores the REALITY of the multiple flaws that mainstream Science feeds society as fact. This documentary exposes the TRUTH of manipulation by intimidation of Pseudoscience and the very powerful entities behind those that would say its all real. We have obviously been raised in an age of deception and manipulation by the Elites that control the banks and government. Now it is revealed to us that those same Elites control what we are educated to believe is factual by SCIENCE. Scientism is a REALITY! In this documentary the truth is revealed about the Religion (Scientism) that poses as something else. The truths revealed in this collection of brilliant factual reports show us all that not only is the Bible more accurate than most Scientific theories concerning our reality but also that those feeding the LIES that pose as truth have been conspiring to deceive mankind for over 500 years. Wake up and watch this film or don't and remain in the dark. A MUST SEE FOR ALL THAT HAVE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS!
