Excellent

Well I'm really enjoying The Good Ship Murder. OK so it won't win any Olivier awards but it's great all the same. The cast are great, the scenery is wonderful and the icing on the cake is Shayne Ward singing. He's great and very attractive on top. Love him. There are lots of negative reviews but I think they are unjustified. The plots are fairly simple but very clever and I particularly enjoy the reveal. It's only an hour long so there is a lot to cram in and the writers have done well to give us a good story in that time.

There are also many reviews criticising the practicalities of 2 and often 3 of the main cast being able to investigate these murders but you just have to suspend a bit of reality to enjoy the story, just as you do with many programmes to be fair.

I'm surprised more people are not complaining about how easily the investigators manage to nip on and off the ship so easily and speedily when you consider how far out of town ships are often moored but I just ignore that.

All in all a great little series and I hope more series are made. 8 episodes is also a great bonus. Shayne and Catherine are a perfect couple.

I love it!!!

Well I loved all the series, especially the first one since I have read an awful lot about Jack the Ripper. I think the characters are well cast and gel well. Joe and Miles are great together. They complement each other and you can see the genuine, mutual respect which develops.

I just love anything which Steve Pemberton is in. He is excellent in his role as Ripperologist and general crime historian. He gives an unusual perspective which is missing in it other crime drama. Altogether a first class cast.

I don't have a huge interest in the Krays so that was my least favourite series. I suspect other people will thoroughly enjoy it.

The filming and camera work is great and certainly captures the correct atmosphere for the crimes. The location work was spectacular.

Absolutely worth a watch and sticking with it.

So bad it's good!!!!

The lead actress in this film has got to have the most annoying voice in the world!!! Whiny, squeaky and irritating.

Medically, there are so many inaccuracies. Kelly arrives at work on delivery and proceeds to turn a baby in the womb during labour without any assessment or handover. This would be done (if ever as it's very dangerous) way before labour. She does not wash her hands, doesn't put any kind of uniform on, doesn't review the medical records, doesn't gain consent from the mother and treats the doctor appallingly. Just given birth, runs all over LA without changing her maternity pads! Doesn't need the loo. You pu like mad after delivery!!!!!!

The security in the hospitals is amateur. Almost putting a sign up saying 'please enter and steal whatever you like, including babies'. No locked doors, no key pads, no swipe and enter. Especially bad since there are known abductions. Security guards not giving a care in the world.

Kelly's magical, self-renewing make-up was a joy to behold!

Having said all this, I love a bad movie!!!!

So bad it was funny!

Warning: Spoilers
What stood out most was how the two female characters Barbie and Carla, whilst running from one disaster to another, had regular access to make-up enabling them to touch it up between every scene. Spoilt for choice for various, ever changing lipstick colours. Bright pink, pinky red, neutral pink, orangey pink, red - you get my drift. Also lots of eyeliner and beautiful hair. Just looked ridiculous to be honest. Not a smudge of smoke or soot nor a drop of sweat.

I watched it as I do love a rubbish movie! Casper Van Dien has done so much better.

The storyline was completely unbelievable. I shouldn't have wasted my time but as stated earlier, I'm a sucker for terrible afternoon movies, especially disaster movies.

Awful. Confusing.
12 August 2023
I was confused from the beginning. Too many time changes with too many characters before we had chance to work out who was who never mind who was the present day character and their younger self. There were name changes too which confused me even more. And don't get me started on the subtitles. Trying to read the subtitles whilst trying to work out whom is whom. The lovely scenery doesn't make up for the story being too complicated to follow. I'm so confused, were there two crimes or just one! I have no idea and to be honest, I don't care. Waste of time watching it when I was looking forward to my favourite type of mystery.

Muttering Mark Wahlburg
7 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I desperately wanted to see this movie because I have a great interest in reincarnation. I wanted to see how the subject was portrayed, especially the implied continuity. I am so disappointed. Mostly because I could barely understand a word spoken by Mark Wahlburg. Muttering and chuntering throughout. Clarity of speech was non existent. It wasn't just Mark but many of the actors. I kept rewinding and had the volume up to 50 to no avail. I wished I'd recorded it with subtitles. So this is why I've rated it so badly, simply because I struggled to follow the dialogue. I've noticed that this is very common in films of recent times. Maybe the actors are going for the dark, broody effect but it's hopeless. Ended up discarding the film way before the end because of this.

Awful lead actress
7 April 2023
Sarah Roemer has got to be the worst female lead I've ever seen. She is so simpering and weak. Very annoying to watch. Terrible film.

I can't say anything good about the rest of the cast either. The child playing Jack is easily the best.

The film is supposed to be about a strong female saving a child from being kidnapped but instead turns into a dreadful damsel in distress movie. The damsel, of course, has to be saved by the guy. A guy who is rich, powerful due to being rich, and famous. This results in said female losing all control of her life relying on the rich guy (and his staff) to save her and sort everything out for her. This film is insulting to all females!!!!!

Good movie
6 July 2022
I enjoyed the film, good concept, good graphics. But I agree with other reviewers, the kid, Jaden Smith was annoying and spoiled the film. Seemed to be a superfluous character with no real role. Probably just a vehicle to get him out there and seen. Not a good enough actor.

Totally unbelievable story line

Warning: Spoilers
Warning spoiler!!!!!!! I found this whole film full of plot holes. I won't say too much but Erin took too long to recognise her ex. You'd know his voice, eyes, walk and gestures even after plastic surgery. Also, where was her support for being in witness protection? Why keep meeting him? Why let him do her home security. All rubbish.
