Well I'm really enjoying The Good Ship Murder. OK so it won't win any Olivier awards but it's great all the same. The cast are great, the scenery is wonderful and the icing on the cake is Shayne Ward singing. He's great and very attractive on top. Love him. There are lots of negative reviews but I think they are unjustified. The plots are fairly simple but very clever and I particularly enjoy the reveal. It's only an hour long so there is a lot to cram in and the writers have done well to give us a good story in that time.
There are also many reviews criticising the practicalities of 2 and often 3 of the main cast being able to investigate these murders but you just have to suspend a bit of reality to enjoy the story, just as you do with many programmes to be fair.
I'm surprised more people are not complaining about how easily the investigators manage to nip on and off the ship so easily and speedily when you consider how far out of town ships are often moored but I just ignore that.
All in all a great little series and I hope more series are made. 8 episodes is also a great bonus. Shayne and Catherine are a perfect couple.
