Barnaby Jones: Copy-Cat Killing (1977)
Strong men also cry
Sheriff of a small town is married to a beauty with not so beautiful past, she's waltzing around town and breaks his heart with random bums. When one of her lovers dies in what looks like copy of a string of murders that happened recently, the suspect's sister calls for shamus (Barnaby) to investigate, as she believes the last murder wasn't her brother's doing.
Hawaii Five-O: R & R & R (1972)
It's Szymanski
Emotional episode touching the subject of the Vietnam war that was still ongoing at the time and which has shaped the America society so profoundly. Good action scenes and some very quick thinking on McGarrett's part. Only one issue I take with the episode is the last name of the soldier which was constantly mispronounced and even in the credits they got it wrong, but then Polish names are notorious for hard spelling.
Cannon: Flashpoint (1974)
Twin Falls mystery
This time Cannon goes all the way to Idaho to help young man who got short end of the stick and it looks like he's gonna spend rest of his days in prison for the crime he didn't commit. His situation is not helped by the fact that the whole town seems to be convinced of his guilt. Frank will have an uphill battle with this one but as always he'll come out on top in the last minute! Overall enjoable episode, worth noting is fact that it was actually filmed in Idaho, quite a surprise.
FBI (2018)
Woke propaganda
Another wokified series, female boss, egyptian gay agent and guyanese female partner, straight in your face. I will stick to the old FBI show that was busy chasing criminals instead of pushing "diversity" The F.B.I. (1965) .
Bad Day at Black Rock (1955)
A movie to remember with beautiful aesthetics and a poignant theme
Hard to describe genre of this movie since it is somewhere halfway between noir and western but it is kind of movie that embeds itself in memory. An all star cast and beautiful filming locations, as well as cinematography make it a definite must see. The plot is strong and riveting until the end and will give viewer couple surprises.
Vega$: Aloha, You're Dead: Part 1 (1980)
Vega$ meets Bonanza and Magnum P.I.
Tanna ends up in Hawaii kidnapped by none other than Ben Cartwright and his favorite son Adam (Pernell Roberts). They happen to occupy "Robin's Nest", there's even T. C.'s chopper cameo, all that's missing is "the lads". Twisty plot and of course beautiful location make this one a must see.
Vega$: Lady Ice (1978)
Interesting episode
Tony Curtis makes an appearance, so it can't be a bad one, then there's Cameron Mitchell of High Chaparral fame and of course beautiful Kim Basinger playing the "lady ice".
Vega$: Sourdough Suite (1981)
Rocky goes wild
Familiar Noah Beery of Rockford Files fame goes on a splurge after finding million dollar briefcase (if he was wise he'd stay low but that's not his style). Good fast paced episode with some desert scenes.
Cannon: The Exchange (1974)
Great cast and filming on location
I always like episodes with on location scences and this one doesn't dissapoint, Cannon has to chase his police friend across the desert to save him from a sociopath killer/kidnapper.
Escape to Athena (1979)
Good action movie with familiar cast
I'm biased because I really like Roger Moore and Telly Savalas and here we have them both together. I also like all of those old school war action movies, it's not a super serious historically correct film but it's a good entertainment and for that it gets 10 stars because it does its job well.
The Fugitive (1963)
Possibly the best tv show ever made
I recommend this show to everyone, especially younger people. I myself was born much after the premiere but this show is really something else, each episode is riveting and it doesn't slow down until the last minute of the last episode, and you do want to watch all of them because they all make part of the story. The show was remade into a movie but it doesn't hold half a candle to this masterpiece. Don't be discouraged by the black and white cinematography (last season is color), it only adds to the noir atmosphere, as a matter of fact I preferred the black and white seasons to the color one, because of that.
Operation Crossbow (1965)
10 for actors and special effects but
Typical British war movie of the era half an hour introduction with cigar smoke in the office, amazing special effects for the time, and great actors but I missed some happy ending, I wished George Peppard would meet Sophia Loren in Italy after the war but sadly this was not to be.
Cannon: Duel in the Desert (1974)
What a treat
With two guest stars like this; Denver Pyle aka Uncle Jesse from the Dukes of Hazzard and Paul Brinegar, Wishbone from Rawhide it had to be a good episode. I liked the filming locations with chase action through the desert and some shoting, making it feel like modern day western.
Barnaby Jones: Murder-Go-Round (1973)
All-star cast and good plot
An episode with an all star cast including Geoffrey Lewis, who was Clint Eastwood's partner in many movies, Claude Akins aka Sheriff Lobo and James Luisi, Rockford's arch enemy cop. This time Barnaby Jones gets to solve very mysterious hit and run accident in a remote town in northern California, the plot thickens when he finds out that this wasn't the only sudden death in recent times in that town and that several of prominent inhabitants suddenly got very rich.
Barnaby Jones: Bond of Fear (1975)
Riveting until the very end
Barnaby travels to a very picturesque lakeside retreat on request of his old lawyer friend.
His client, although according to the police is innocent of the crime is called a murderer by almost everyone in town. The L.A. detective is going to have an uphill battle to put an end to the vicious gossip. But was she really innocent?
Route 66: A Fury Slinging Flame (1960)
Leslie Nielsen good as always
The episode stars Leslie Nielsen still with black hair, the story might seem to be far fetched, but 20 years later world has stood on verge of just such an event as described in the story.
