This film is, quite simply, a masterpiece. Emma Thompson is brilliant in conveying the pain of Vivian's journey, with a beautiful eloquence that takes the musings of literary greats out of abstraction and into the realm of harsh experience. The words of John Donne feature prominently throughout this, and it's extremely moving to see Vivian come to terms with the profundities of the human condition. The loneliness of the character's situation is not consoled by her intellectual status.

Emma Thompson is wonderfully comfortable in her performance, and there is a brief but memorable appearance by Harold Pinter. This is an exquisitely written film that is utterly engaging from beginning to end.

Drop Dead Fred is an absolutely brilliant film. Rik Mayall is the star of the show here, and it's difficult to exaggerate just how funny this man is. The character of Drop Dead Fred is so unique that he could only have been played by Mayall. Phoebe Cates is also great as Elizabeth Cronin, a woman with a child-like innocence trying to deal with adult problems in the real world while battling her Psychosis which is manifested by an imaginary friend. The antics of Drop Dead Fred are so wonderfully surreal and offbeat that I could not stop laughing. This film is a one-of-a-kind classic.

A Great film that I adore!

This film is amazing! The story is poignant and the visuals are stunning. The film deals brilliantly with the question of the afterlife and the issues surrounding life and death. The plot is well constructed and the performances are great. This is one of Robin Williams' best roles. The themes of this film will resonate with everybody. It will make you wonder about human existence and purpose. The range of emotions I felt while watching this film was incredible. This is one of my favourite films ever. I'm glad I had the chance to watch it. I would highly recommend it.

What Dreams May Come is breathtaking!

Goodnight Sweetheart was a highly entertaining comedy that used a sci-fi plot device as its driving force. However, the heart of show was always Gary Sparrow's(Lyndhurst) interaction with the historical events occurring around him. Gary's endearing best friend Ron(played by Victor McGuire) was one of my favourite characters. As the time-travel takes place during the six years of World War 2,(in parallel with the 90s) it was always inevitable that the show would end after the war had fully played out. Gary's relationship with his wives in both eras was never easy, adding an element of drama to the show.

I miss this show greatly as it was always funny and a delight to watch. The brilliance of this comedy was always underrated in my opinion.

I love this show!

I love this film! I'm not usually into romance films, but this film is so unique. It's quirky and by no means generic. The story is not put together in chronological order, so some people don't get its brilliance. I personally LOVE the way the film is done, and Kate Winslet's character and performance is great.(Clementine is so wonderfully eccentric!). Jim Carrey delivers an equally great performance(Joel is sensitive and introverted, not traits you often attribute to Jim Carrey, but he plays it SO well!). It deals with themes like the pain of love, consequences of actions and even the boundaries of science (in regards to memory erasure). This film is thought provoking but not soppy. Watch this film! it's amazing!
