Awdry is going to get mad
16 October 2021
And guess what? Awdry's soul will be angry when he finds out, same goes to the crew and late people like George Carlin, David Mitton, and Michael Angelis.

Much better than the First Lame Crossover Film
7 August 2021
It may not beat the original Wizard of Oz, but it is ten times better than the first Tom and Jerry crossover with The Wizard of Oz.

The movie wouldn't be so good without Jason Alexander, who plays the evil Nome King that steals the movie a lot as what Jason Alexander did with Hugo in The Hunchback of Notre (1996), made 20 years early as another film that stars Jason Alexander and also pays homage to the late Mary Wickes (the live action model (not the voice) of Cruella De Vil and the voice of one of the puppies in 101 Dalmatians (1961)) who voiced one of Quasimodo's gargoyle friends, Laverne, as her last film since she died in production before the film's release. Speaking of a film paying homage to the deceased actor who died before the film being released, Tom and Jerry: Back to Oz pays homage to the late Joe Alasky who died in production after recording a lot of dialogues as the Wizard, Droopy, and Butch.

The music, songs, cast, animation, colors, and special effects were so well done.

I thought the story was decent because it doesn't always have to focus on Tom and Jerry. And you know why is because after Dorothy and Scarecrow are both captured by the Nome King, Jerry and the other mice soldiers saves the Tin Man from drowning and goes to the Emerald City while Tom went with Lion and Toto, who later met the Tiger of the Forest along with her animal colleagues and later catch up with the allies.

All the characters from The Wizard of Oz (including Dorothy) are also getting better character development and more screen time than in the first crossover movie between Tom and Jerry and the Wizard of Oz so this film did balance the screen time between Tom and Jerry and the characters from the original 1939 movie

Despite Tom and Jerry having minimal screen time, the Jitterbug is also featured after being a deleted character from the Wizard of Oz. He's also dressed up as the Mask.

If it weren't for Jason Alexander, this film would not be so good to watch! With all the reasons I said and don't pay attention to the critics, this film really deserves to have better reviews than the first film.

Disgrace to the original Three Stooges
5 August 2021
At first I actually like the film but now, it took me a long time to discover all the problems of the film. The story was so confusing. I did not laugh every bit of the humor like toilet and baby jokes. The idea of having the Stooges set in 21st Century didn't work, although I do adore Kate Upton. While acting alright as Moe, Larry, and Curley, Chris Dimatoplas, Sean Hayes, and Will Sasso can't beat the original Three Stooges.

Another disappointing thing is that non of the supporting actors gets played by celebrities for some reasons.

They should have left the Stooges alone and not try to replicate them!

If you're a true Three Stooges fan, don't watch this trash!

Dr. Seuss on the Loose (1973 TV Movie)

Best Dr. Seuss Special
25 July 2021
Besides the music and colorful backgrounds, the acting was great and the story telling teaches us life lessons like anti discrimination, anti pride, and trying new things. This music is such an excellent piece of comfortable and fun type of jazz. All the work is thanks to Dean Elliot.

Like Sleeping Beauty (1959) (higher pitch for Lord Duke while using his normal voice for King Stefan to do a test recording), Hans Conried used a slightly different voice to provide his voices for the North/South Going Zax and do the narration. I also recalled that he probably did the little Sneetch and the Fox, but never semi-confirmed. His voice would go back to normal when he became the second voice of the Grinch in Halloween is Grinch Night (1977), another best Dr. Seuss special and my number two favorite Dr. Seuss special.

What I also enjoyed is the same laugh Guy-Am-I used was Tigger's laugh. The late Paul Winchell ws a marvelous lad in providing the voices of Sam-I-Am, Guy-Am-I, and the Sneetches, so does Bob Holt as Sylvester McMonkey McBean and the Sneetches and Allan Sherman as the Cat in the Hat as his final project before his death on November 20, 1973.

Next to one of my favorite friendship films such as Beauty and the Beast (both the original 1991 animated classic and the 2017 live action remake, my second favorite Disney live action remake), Dumbo (1941), The Cat in the Hat (1971, NOT the 2003 awful film of the same name), Wallace and Gromit, etc., this special holds a place in my heart with all the life lessons we folks must learn.

Good movie but could have done better with Aurora and King Stefan
9 April 2021
I always enjoyed Sleeping Beauty when I was a kid but I have discovered some flaws that were in Sleeping Beauty such as the character developments of Aurora and King Stefan. Another flaw could be the voice cast, especially when Taylor Holmes was mistakenly casted as King Stefan.

For Aurora, she only has 18 lines and less screen time of the film. She does not have have specific personality whatsoever, same goes with Queen Leah. I wonder why they decided to make Aurora a less active character. God knows why. She is a false protagonist and remains asleep during the climax until she awakens at the end of the film. This makes Flora, Merryweather and Fauna the real protagonists of the film. I don't hate Aurora as she's still beautiful and gorgeous but she could have done better

For King Stefan, he is portrayed as a depressed and stressful King of France who is way overprotective about the safety of his only daughter Aurora. What's lame about Stefan is that the late Taylor Holmes (in his last role) gave a bland performance for Stefan that made Holmes unenthusiastic in some scenes he's in as the voice of King Stefan. He sounds too old and depressing as well. That's why King Stefan has to become my least favorite Disney father and character of the movie, NOT counting Disney Princess Enchanted Tales Follow Your Dreams where Corey Burton did better as Stefan. What's more bad is that Holmes replaced Stefan's original voice actor, Hans Conried. This created the unsolved mystery of Lord Duke's voice that was never solved, in a similar matter of Jack Ruby murdering John F Kennedy's accused assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. That has to be my biggest flaw and Disney's biggest mistake on Sleeping Beauty. Had Holmes turned down the role, Stefan would have been my favorite character of the movie. In fact, Conried would have been a perfect and better choice for Stefan, as heard in the demo recording, "It Happens I have a Picture", which was mistakenly removed from the film as in favor of George Bruns' music adaptation of Tchaikovsky's ballet score of the same name of the Disney film. I always felt that it was a stupid decision for Walt to do this, even though I appreciate him for his idea for the score to be based off of Tchaikovsky l's score that was adapted by George Bruns. I mean come on, it has more humor and potential for Kings Stefan and Hubert to have more humor, especially for Stefan before becoming sad when Maleficent curses Aurora. Had that song not been removed it would have been one of two songs, written by Jack Lawrence and Sammy Fain, that were kept in the film. At least Conried probably voiced Duke, who speaks in a Mid Atlantic accent like Conried, but it was done in high pitched.

Nonetheless, this movie is still pretty good, the characters (Sir Minstrel, Flora/Merryweather/Fauna, Maleficent, King Hubert, and Prince Phillip) are fun (except King Stefan, Queen Leah, Diablo, and Maleficent's Goons), the music is wonderful, and the artwork were visually stunning and a wonderful masterpiece.

Maleficent (2014)
3/10
Worst movie of 2014
9 April 2021
I always liked the original Sleeping Beauty, but now, it was ruined by the movie of Maleficent. Even though Angelina Jolie was born for the role of Maleficent, I always felt bad that she's a sympathetic character instead of a villain. The backstory before her wings chopped off was nice and the medieval setting of Scotland looks nice. It's still shameful how they ruined some enjoyable characters: First Prince Phillip becomes a bland character, King Hubert, Lord Duke (Announcer), and Sir Minstrel (lackey) are absent, the 3 Good Fairies (Merryweather, Flora, and Fauna) became idiots and people call them the Three Stooges, and worst of all, King Stefan becomes the villain by taking away his parenting nature and humor (Skumps in the final cut and It Happens I have a Picture from the original cut/demo recording). I consider it the wrong kind of feminism since it did not benefit the idea that everyone is treated equally regardless of what they are. The idea of King Stefan rewritten as a villain is one of the reasons why I will NOT watch this garbage ever again! They treat it as the real story when they're ignoring real facts of the original animated film.

Cinderella (I) (2015)

Okay remake, but it's a bit boring and overrated remake overall
9 April 2021
While it may have some boring changes, it does have some right things. The story is almost like the original animated film of 1950, but with some boring changes

Pros 1. Lily James did a wonderful job portraying the female protagonist and is quite charming. The blue dress on her looks gorgeous 2. I'm proud that the prince has more development and more lines 3. Backstory of Cinderella and her parents 4. The goose coachman is fine, as with lizard footmen, but Bruno and the old horse will always be better.

5. I love the 18th century costumes and powdered wigs on the servants

Cons 1. Lady Tremaine was too ugly to be young! Her red hair is just a stupid idea and Cate Blenchett is an inferior to Eleanor Audley and she did awful!

2. The Grand Duke's character is ruined by becoming a bad guy 3. No mice having roles 4. Not a musical as it took away some memorable songs such as A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes 5. No Bruno the Dog 6. The lizards were a bit unnecessary but their human forms look nice.

Great but not spectacular as the original 1991 film
9 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This remake may not beat the original animated film but it was great as it solved most mistakes of the original animated Beauty and the Beast such as the hole holes (Prince Adam was 11 years old when he was cursed as a beast and only has time until his 21st birthday to find someone else to love, stated by Lumiere in the Be Our Guest music that they were under a curse for ten years. Thank god it was solved by changing the lyrics into "Too long we've been rusting...") more backstories of Belle and Adam, and historically accurate costumes for the male villagers and Human Lumiere, and with Cogsworth in a powdered wig by Sir Ian McKellen. They're totally the reasons why I still have passion for the 18th century, founding fathers, baroque fashion for men, and the long hair and wigs for men. This remake must be the reason why I needed to watch Turn Washington's Spies and other 18th century films. The only flaws is the battle between Gaston and the Beast and Belle's singing being auto tuned. Other than that, it's still a great remake and it doesn't deserve any hate.
