Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai (2017)
A classic tale to be remembered
Rarely does one come across an ITV show that is simple, warm, subtle, and low on drama. In an industry ruled by mindless content, this show feels like a breath of fresh air for any Indian out there. Many have tried to showcase the nostalgia of 90s but none have managed to do it with the purity and ease that this show has. It has kept in mind every minute detail from costumes to sets to even something as small as the tapestry decorating the wall in Naina (female lead's ) room. The setting mixed with the true love that exists between Sameer and Naina makes it an easy way to transport oneself to the 90s. Sameer and Naina despite being in love don't indulge in intimacy until after their wedding. A quick convo with anyone from that era will tell you that many couples who believed their love was "shaadi wala" chose to wait. Ashi Singh and Randeep Rai have outdone their dedication to their roles. Not only with their stellar performance and captivating screen presence, but also with the way they changed their figures in demands with the chronology. From a teenager's body to a college goer to an adult: you witness both the physical and emotional growth of these characters. A must watch show for the Netflix generation!
