Mujhe Chand Chahiye (2000)
a very different movie
The music of the movie was an absolute treat. The story line was very different.Shaan as a director showed great potential. The story revolves around a happily married couple with financial problems.(Attiqa Odho & Javed Shiekh). Finally Javed Shiekh finds a good job but does not tell his boss about his Marital status. With his efforts and hard work he soon became his Boss's favorite employee and the boss offers Javed to marry his young widowed daughter, and javed with little hesitation accepts. When Attiqa finds out she leaves him in a rage. The rest is for you to find out but i can assure that a very different and interesting story unfolds. I must also applaud Reema's role in the movie. She had a guest appearance(her only ever guest appearance in a movie), so obviously she had very few scenes and only 1 song...but she did justice to her role of a tomboy and Mommis best friend...her appearance and acting was just too cute....and the scene where Moammer Rana and Reema discover that they r in love is the sweetest scene i have ever scene in a lolly-wood movie. Mujhe chand chahiye was probably Shaan's best movie as a director. Its a must see movie for its different story(good luck finding it).
Koi Tujh Sa Kahan (2005)
An amazing Effort
WOW! what an amazing directorial debut from film star Reema...she has shown that she is truly concerned about revival of Pakistani cinema. She has proved that she is not all talk, rather she means serious business.Koi tujh sa kahan has all that a commercial masala flick should have;suspense, romance, exotic locations, melodious songs, beautiful dresses and an all starer cast.
The story revolves around Bela(Reema)an only daughter of a rich businessman's who inherits it all after his death. She falls in love and marries an ordinary waiter working for her dad Peeru(Moammer Rana)who helps her run the business. The movie starts with Reema and Moammer happily married and celebrating their 1st wedding Anniversary. The film also stars Veena Malik in a vamp's role as Moammers person Secretary. Also introducing As Reema's best friend is Simran a British Indian model, who does justice to her role.
I cant tell more without giving the story away.Hats off to Reema for producing and directing a movie and taking care of every little detail(not to mention she looks breathtaking in the movie).A must see for people who complain of lack of good films in lollywood...koi tujh sa kahan is a break through film and a breath of fresh air in the gujjar world of lollywood movies.
