Not good

I find it very unlikely that Hitler was anything like the person portrayed here. It looks like the actor is peeing in his pants every time he opens his mouth just to show the audience that he was evil..Some sides of his politics clearly qualifies as evil, but to my knowledge he was in private probably nicer than YOU.

Where is the charming, charismatic person all his workers have been talking about in they're memoirs? The movie also full of half lies like: That he didn't deserve his Iron Cross. Wrong. That he killed his dog. Wrong. That he didn't have a normal sex life with Eva Braun. Wrong. Heinz Linge claimed quite the opposite. The list goes on. Because of this it is hard to take this movie serious. This is propaganda and entertainment and nothing more. The entertaining value is nonetheless OK.

The only SW movie that really rocks
28 July 2006
I saw this film again yesterday..and i remember now why i used to be a Star Wars fan. This is THE SW movie! Harrison Ford is just PERFECT as Han Solo. Watch his acting in this one, and then go and see no 1-3.

...Did you laugh?

The rhythm in this film is perfect and it is much darker than the others. If i could take only one SW movie with me to another galaxy, this would be the one. The fighting scene between Dart Vader and Luke, looks fantastic. The only thing i did not like was Yoda..a bit to comical for my taste.

Its a shame that Luke did not team up with the Emperor and Vader. What a team that would be!

Boring

I did not like this film at all. Very romantic Cuban style movie, without any edge at all. The fact that the maker of this film was allowed to make it and leave Cuba with the tapes, tells it all. This movie smells Cuban propaganda.

All the people have their problems, but all in all its really not much to talk about. You see a quite well functioning Havanna, where people actually work and looks forward. Do they? i cannot remember seeing that many people work at the same time, when i visitede the country in 98..

I don't say that all films like this have to be critical to the system, but when you make a film about this many Cubans i find it very strange not to include at least one person who dreams about: another government, democracy, freedom of speech, to be able to travel, to read what he/she wants...the list goes on...a person with dreams like these is not hard to find in Havanna. OK there was this guy who went to Miami, but i bet even Fidel was not insulted after seeing that scene.

I gave it 2 points because of the great photo shots.

Its a sin to use porn like music in a film about a country with a music tradition as strong as the Cuban.
