Home Alone (1990)
A Christmas Classic
Despite its 30 years so far... this epic xmas comedy remains an holiday classic that shaped my childhood. A must see for the whole family.
Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Here comes the genious
Thirty years for this classic masterpiece from the genious of Tim Burton. This movie summarises all his poetics about life, tolerance, diversity and respect. Personally is one my fav of all time. Think about it like a gothic flavoured dark fairytale combined with cliches and stereotypes of 50 to 80s America. Highly recommended! Johnny Deep (and Winona too) is extraordinary here!
Victor/Victoria (1982)
A masterpiece!
This is a movie that I could watch a thousand times without getting bored. An outstanding musical with a divine Julie Andrews. Superb masterpiece!
Paranormal (2020)
Good idea but...
Let me be clear. They had a good idea, but the production was often ridiculous, just think about the terrible CGI effects. Failed shot!
Snowpiercer (2020)
Connelly steals the show
An extended reinterpretation of Joon-ho's beautiful film that sometimes gets bored and gets lost. Jennifer Connelly's performance steals the show but I would have closed it all in one season.
The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020)
Fresh and cool
A contemporary historical drama reinterpreted in a fresh and cool directorial key. High-level acting performances.
The Prom (2020)
Too weak to be memorable
Despite the presence of mrs. Streep and Kidman and the beautiful message of inclusivity, this Murphy's effort to set a memorable musical (based on the same Broadway play) crushes into the weakness of its songs and the absence of depth in its characters.
La vita davanti a sé (2020)
Sophia takes it all
Loren is superb as usual. This may be considered her last movie and her will. I hope she can earn a well deserved Oscar nomination for this role.
The English Game (2020)
Good but...
I found it very interesting, but kinda annoying in those parts where no football scenes were displayed. I was supposed to find out more about the beginning of the most popular game in the world. Anyway, well done Netflix.
Citizen Kane (1941)
One of the best movie of all time
How can we define this piece of art in other terms than the perfection? I can't properly describe how big Orson Welles is. Truly masterpiece.
Hillbilly Elegy (2020)
Not that bad
I can't understand why this movie has been destroyed by everyone. Ok, it's not a masterpiece but you can surely save two giants of acting like mrs. Close and mrs. Adams. Some of the events that occurres reminds me of my childhood.
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Super drama
This is superb drama, full of heart warming scenes but also well acted with deep intensity. The main actress is classy and amazing. Loved it so much. Recommended!
