Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
GIANT disappointment
I bought this ticket coming off the high from Top Gun. Where they nailed nestslgia, Jurassic failed miserably. I'm ashamed I spent my money on it and I recommend you don't. And it was so freaking loud and unnecessarily violent. Bottom line is they knew they could make a good trailer and make all their money regardless of what the movie turned out to be. I'm almost without words. It was actually terrible. Might even be a 2. Trust everyone on here, don't see it.
The Lost City (2022)
Sandy NEVER disappoints
Such a witty movie, you'll be cracking up. I was skeptical of this pairing going into it, but Sandra and Channing had great on screen chemistry. Great movie, best in a while, and well worth it. Beautifully casted. And I can't get over the talent and timeless beauty of Sandra Bullock. What an absolute jewel.
Away (2020)
Amazing
If you're going to do a show about astronauts and mars, you can't do a cheap, cheesy version of it...this show, from the plot line, to the cast, to the visuals was incredible. Every person who had a hand in this should be extremely proud of themselves. One of the greatest shows I've ever seen and truly one of a kind.
Hooking Up (2020)
Great story that needs to be told more
It was cute and funny. The casting was out of the box which made the ending less predictable. I love the humanness of the story and the desire of the characters to change, grow, and become better people. This was a heartfelt story told in a cute, entertaining way. Worth watching and reflecting on.
I love the brutal honesty about addiction, support groups, and recovery. Don't see enough honesty about this stuff in movies, but when it's shown, I believe it can create a pathway for lost people to find hope and healing from what culture so often condones and promotes as happiness and fulfillment. I greatly appreciated that aspect of it.
Great job to everyone who worked on this film.
Charlie's Angels (2019)
Honestly a great movie
I honestly don't understand all the bad reviews of this movie. They made me go in to it with low expectations but I throughly enjoyed it. I think the casting was great and the actors gave tremendous performances. I appreciate all the hard work and vision Elizabeth put in to this film. I could see many of her little, well thought out touches. I am not a fan of feminist, man bashing movies, and I never once felt a twinge of that.
I think this movie will be one that people realize is great after it's out of theaters, like Pitch Perfect.
I will certainly watch it again and even hope for a sequel because Naomi Scott as an Angel would be boss. Thank you to the entire cast and crew. I know so much we don't see goes in to creating a film like this and it's sad when that is not appreciated or recognized.
