Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal (2024 TV Special)
10/10
Just wow....
1 April 2024
I have often wondered what if Bray Wyatt had been in a WWE that had no Vincent McMahon Jr. Watching this special makes me hate we lost him so soon. What could have happened if he hadn't gotten sick & what could he have done.

This is a great special, gives you a look at some of those who are avid wrestlers haven't seen. The infancy of Bray Wyatt & the family. He was never the greatest in ring worker, he was never a "Dave Meltzer favorite", but he connected like no one else has ever done.

I wanted Wyatt to stay as the cult leader, but evolution of the character is wrestling, and I hate Vince/Dunn/Johnny Ace/Prichard watered that character down & ruined it.

Anyway, the what if are amazing, but don't touch what was..

This is a fun show with great action
14 January 2024
When I pushed play on this show I had zero expectations to what I was about to watch. I was hooked after episode 1. A family Yakuza film, with really well done fighting, hysterical moments, heart wrenching points, great gun fight scenes, & turns you do not see coming unless you Google to find the spoilers. I immediately called my brother & father to say "Watch this as soon as you can."

The acting is solid & the plot is not typical of what you think this show is. Usually Yakuza/Japanese Organized Crime TV/Movies the characters don't have real characters depth, they are typical. That is where "The Brothers Sun" delivers most, characters you do not expect to love make you love them. The whole cast delivers.

Take time to binge it & tell people who you know will like it, so we can get Season 2.

Am I nexpected action film that was very good.
4 May 2023
So, this evening I plopped my fat azz on the couch after work & flipped on this Jason Statham lead flick. I didn't know Guy Ritchie directed it, but that added to my reason for watching.

I really liked it.

Not your usual Statham/Ritchie movie, instead of crazy scenario after crazy scenario, the plot built to a bloody crescendo. It wasn't the greatest movie ever, but it was definitely entertaining as hell.

So if you want to watch an action movie that is not 85% CGI (I like a majority of those too, but has become so overdone), isn't filled with unbelievable fighting scenes, & will keep ya interested, push play.

Really enjoyed
15 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So, far I am enjoying the show. They re-established & basically created a mythology that was very basic from the movie. The movie was built on likability of Willow & the redemption story of sellsword turned hero Mad Mardigan, played by a young Val Kilmer. In the big scheme, a majority of viewers didn't know the other character names after they left the screen. So re-establishing secondary characters with importance b& building a universe was & is important to the shows current & future success.

Here is my guess n a spoiler. My biggest gripe, by the end of episode 1, smart fans knew that Graydon (AKA Flash Thompson, the Prince) was gonna be evil or is being controlled by the Crone. They have teased it throughout every episode & this episode made it even more obvious. With the flashback involving Graydon's past.

But the last 2 episodes have been fun & interesting. The potential is there.

Possible spoile...
8 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Anyone else notice how Grayson knew a lot about Dark Magic & had no reason to know it?? Just a guess, but he will be the "Big Bad" by season 1 end. He has already given off the vibe of secret bad guy: he has no concern over the wedding like he knows it won't happen, he immediately started speaking Alora when he found out who she was, & somehow when he is involved he does something to botch their plan. Just seems like the direction they are going.

Fun show so far, with plenty of potential. Can't wait to see where they go. Done right by the original movie, but need a little more grittiness. We will see.

Liked it better watching 5 & 6 back to back...
30 September 2022
This episode is building to episode 6, so a lot of exposition & Ep 5 ends flat. But I waited to watch them together, it made me like Ep 5 a lot more, with only 10 min into Ep 6, I am glad I did.

This show is dense in lore & is building even the characters we know from Hobbit & LOTR basically from scratch. Obviously, hundreds of years before the stories led by Gandalf, Bilbo, Frodo, & many others, all of the ones we know are completely different people/elves/hobbits/orcs/dwarves/etc. This show is beautiful & crazy, I wish we were focused more on dwarves & elves, but plenty of time to fix that.

I really enjoyed this show...
26 August 2022
..but I tend to enjoy series that have a huge scope & there are layers to the storytelling. The acting is great, the cinematography/CGI are gorgeous, & the story has a ton of potential.

I feel like the 1st season was setting the table, and now that we know the main players, it will get real QUICKLY! But I understand people disliking it, this is not typical for a show, it is very complex.

For the low ratings, they just went into this wrong
26 July 2022
It is supposed to be silly( make absolutely no sense, & be overacted. This is satire of 100 camp movies that have been made over the years. But the ridiculousness of it all adds to the fun.

If you are looking for typical comedy, you will hate it. This is uncomfortable & real at some point, it hurts, but still fun.

The Gray Man (2022)

I loved it!
25 July 2022
Of course an unbelievable action movie, but it sure is fun. If you are expecting exposition & plot twists, watching the wrong movie. If ya just want to laugh, sit on the edge of your seat, & be excited by crazy action scenes...hit play. Especially with the world concern of corrupt government figures & tax dollars being misused.

Gosling is good as usual, he has the stoic mystery man who can kick butt down to a fine art. Billy Bob Thornton is solid. But the standout is Chris Evans as an amazing evil doer. He looks like he is having a blast, allowing him to be snarky & crazy as hell, all the while looking like he eats Easy Cheese for breakfast.

Ignore the low ratings if you want to enjoy a big budget, impossible to actually happen, action film.

This show is really well done!
13 July 2022
I tried a few times to get into this series, but got distracted by another series that interested me more. But, I finally got to take some time while off work to get some really good "vegging & viewing binge" & this series got me.

Longterm storytelling that effects macro & micro moments that build, animated show writing that is smart enough to grab attention of both young & old, flipped storylines around current issues in society, & depth for a majority of the characters involved something lacking in a lot of Superhero TV & Movies.

If you like animated, superhero, sci fi/fantasy series that makes you think, but doesn't make you feel lame for a kids show, you will like this show. Finishing 3rd Season, will watch the rest in near future. Check it out!

I guess that is a testament to the episode being exciting, but I was hoping for more. Still fun. Just ended abruptly & think they could have added more to the Partion, honestly Americans are still unaware of this horrific time that effected so many!!

4 seasons in & this show keeps being great.
31 May 2022
I am finishing up first part of Season 4 right now, I am on rye edge of my seat. Consistently use nostalgia, interesting characters, & supernatural stories, & 80's issues to build an amazing story with a great ensemble cast (most started as pre-teens). The Duffers deserve so much credit, through 80's pop culture nostalgia, they have built the biggest pop culture show that hasn't let us down yet...unlike other massive shows (Sopranos & Game of Thrones.

Argyle is a great addition!
30 May 2022
The beauty the Duffer Brothers use 80's nostalgia to reweave storylines is so fun. Also, Argyle is my favorite film/tv stoner character since Slater from "Dazed & Confused"....both are only outdone by Floyd from "True Romance". We all know Argyle, Floyd, or Slater. 😂

I don't understand most reviews....
30 May 2022
Yeah, it wasn't the deepest story ever, but it was fun, beautifully shot, & original so I liked it a lot. I feel some people are so caught up in the nostalgia these stories come from, no matter what was on the screen they want to dislike it or just love picking things apart for the sake of picking it apart.

For those who just want a fun Fantasy/Magic Adventure movie, you will enjoy it. For those of you looking for an excuse to dislike a fun Fantasy/Magic Adventure movie, you will enjoy deconstructing it. Happy Memorial Day 2022.

Started a lil choppy, but got good around Ep 2 end..
31 March 2022
Yeah, the CGI isn't amazing, but it is solid. Not a "game changer", but if ya liked the Blade Runner movies, it is a fun watch.

As the story develops, I really been enjoying it on Ep 7, digging it. Only thing I wish was better is with most of those featured as the group of antagonists, are about as deep as a pee puddle on a driveway during Southern summer. That has more to do with the length of the episodes.

But, in my opinion, I'm not a big anime fan, but this is a fun watch. Ignore the multiple negative reviews, find out for yourself.

One episode down, I liked it.
27 March 2022
The hate on these posts are from video game purists who have expectations no one could ever hit & a people who just wanted to jot like it.

The FX were great, storyline interesting, & they even used current events to add sizzle to it. No it was not the greatest first episode ever, but I liked it a lot & am looking forward to what is ahead!

I expected nothing, but enjoyed the hell out of it..
11 January 2022
For a spin-off of movie I consider Top 5 importance to my childhood, I was hoping this movie was at the most mediocrely entertaining. Instead I got a smart, fun, & very true to GB universe/mythos, and I'm glad they did it.

Take the 2 hours, go in completely clear of preconceived worry, and just enjoy it. Great job by cast & crew for this nostalgic return to one of the films of my childhood.

Nostalgia gets a 5....
31 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
But the actual execution of the show...mediocre!!! Fight scenes were dumb, the writing was lazy, & in 1 episode they already toned the bad ass mythos that is Boba Fett.

"I want to rule with respect" says it all. The baddest ass bounty hunter in the Universe takes power, and immediately he is a political idealist....not in my imagination. 😂

I guess I expected much more, especially when it comes to the legend of Star Wars.

A fictional comedy about a couple that is accidentally swept into a town where life is a musical & some of these reviews say "Silly" & "nonsensical", which any comedy with that description 100% should be!!!

First season was okay, but the truth of what RZA & the Wu did during the label war was CRAZY!!! He got different record deals for everyone, only to come together as Wu with zero issues. Yeah of course this isn't 100% accurate, but it is fun.

Again, James Gunn gives us a 100% original story, inventive tone, & with so much heart. Even characters DC has used are repurposed the same but completely different. Loved it from start to finish.
