Senior Trip (1981)
Another one of Ken Johnson's classics
I bought this film for my collection after discovering that Faye Grant, famous as the beautiful heroine on the Mini-Series' & TV Series V was a standout in this movie (also written and directed by Kenneth Johnson who created V). From watching this thoughtful and funny telefilm, its clear to see why Kenneth Johnson called on Faye Grant to take on the female lead in V. And of course, Scott Baio is at his dramatic best here. The film soundtrack is also scored by Joe Harnell who worked for Kenneth Johnson on the Incredible Hulk as well as V: The Original Miniseries.
The Taming of the Shrew (1976)
Laughs, laughs, and more laughs!!!
The San Fransisco American Conservatory Theater gives an outstanding performance in a highly acclaimed production of Taming Of The Shrew. Just watching the actors facial expressions will leave you in hysterics. Marc Singer and Freddi Olster have a beautiful chemistry as Petruchio and the impossible Kate. This is one of the best productions of any kind I've ever seen. Anyone wanting to purchase this film can get it through Amazon.com or the Broadway Theater Archive!!!
Things in Their Season (1974)
sentimental tearjerker!!
This is a touching film about a woman who's always taken care of her family farm and can't seem to find the courage to tell her overbearing husband that she won't be around to do it much longer. The actors are superb in their roles. Patricia Neal was later known for an outstanding performance on Little House On The Prarie. Marc Singer who portrays her son in this film would later be known as "The Beastmaster" and "V's" Mike 'Gooder' Donovan.
