It's Not About the Bomb!
16 August 2023
A story which is all about the bomb somehow manages to stay away from the obvious and focus it's attention on the life of Oppenheimer and more importantly how detractors try to break down his life and him. It's amazing to see the hero the father of the bomb when needed is used by the government apparatus and then humiliated and cast aside when not needed.

Beautifully written, amazing acting from a cast that seems like all of Hollywood wanted a piece of this action! The movie is simply brilliant in every way.

Yes the story revolves around the making of the bomb but the narrative is not about the bomb!

Bullet Train (2022)

Even Quentin Tarantino Would be Proud of this Masterpiece!
7 November 2022
David Leitch Is simply outstanding with this masterpiece! It's such a Pulp Fiction meets Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with a bit of skill Bill thrown in for good measure. Entertaining from the word go!!

Five assassins on a bullet train, a twisted plot, a money bag, a murder, a snake, many hidden motives and some bizarre twists and turns with on a Japanese canvas. It's for action, more action and plenty that will make you smile. It's just one of those movies you have to watch! It starts off east with a pretty straight forward plot of retrieving a bag from a train, an easy snatch and run kinda assignments but fate has much in store so don't scoff at fate!

Interesting & Inspiring
16 October 2022
Long before the magic comes a lot of trials and tribulations to create it, and that's really what this story is really about. Starts off with the Rowling's younger years and leading up to her adult life, her troubled marriage, her personal trails in life which often leaves her in a financial mess. A long story short (for the long version watch the movie) the narrative takes you through Rowling's days when she was on state support to becoming the richest woman in her country.

The story is inspiring and takes you through the journey of Rowling's life as she becomes a published author and one of the most famous one's ever!

It's not as magical as one of her books or the movie franchise Harry Potter but surely gives an inspiring tale of everything that went on with Rowling as she eventually become a published writer. Certainly worth a watch!

A decent plot made poor by its dragged out last 30 mins!
16 October 2022
The basic plot is half decent and builds up well. There is sufficient intrigue built in and the feint is well placed to avoid a linear flow. But and there is a big but! Akshay is trying to make a film and instead joins the police? There could have been a better way to introduce him into the plot which was more believable.

SHO on an ego trip pushes Akshay down even when he is the only one who seems to know the way the psychopath is thinking. He saves the SHO and then loses his job?? SHO has a change of heart and now reinstates him and let's him even lead the investigation??! 3/4 kidnappings are directly / indirectly connected to the key protagonist. I mean chal kya raha hai?

The last 20-30 mins are so poorly dragged out that it becomes a torture to finish this film. And when will these near 60 year old actors (even though they work hard to look 40) stop serenading 30 year old actors who look 25! And start playing roles and plots where they look realistic playing and don't need to serenade someone who look like their daughters.

Good basic story line, often poorly told!
2 October 2022
The basic storyline is excellent, it could have been told so much better! Seems like a great storyline was poked and prodded to stretch it to the required number of hours that were needed to complete the eight episodes. You know the scenes are too prolonged and stretched when you start using the fast forward option every now and then..

The main cast has done a pretty job but some of the support cast takes away from the scenes rather than add to it. Little sub plots and love affairs added nothing except to desperately add long sexual moments to titillate the audience. The last resort of a weak story teller in their desperate attempt to hook some audiences into the show at any cost. Well one can still watch the show just skip it here and there as it was probably meant to be a 4-5 episode plot which has been stretched to 8!

Outstanding story telling & brilliant acting!
7 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A story of an extremely conservative community and how their ways frustrates a young married woman to break away from it by escaping it all and in the process discovering herself. The acting across the board is simply superb; Shira Haas is unbelievably good, and not for a moment will you believe she is 'acting'.

Intriguing tale of a murder mystery, very well narrated!
29 September 2020
This murder mystery revolves around the two main protagonists, the ever suspecting police officer Sana Vartak (Pooja Bhamrrah) & the accused Raghav Mehra (Bhuvan Arora). What seems like an open & shut cases ends up having many twists to this short tale. Do not pay attention & risk losing the plot. Rajiv Walia's Rashq is surely worth a watch 👍🏼

AI overtakes human weakness! Is this already the point of no return?
17 September 2020
Scary to see how The Social Network has turned into The Social Dilemma. The docu-drama in a very simple to understand manner sets the context of the ills of social media and how profit and Artificial Intelligence controls they narrative. Science fiction has for long warned against AI overtaking the point of human intelligence but in fact AI has already crossed the point of human weakness and that's a matter of concern. But the control is in our hands!

Interesting story, could have been told more interestingly.
29 March 2020
Definitely worth a watch! Fantastic cast and a brilliant plot; wish it was less of a docu-drama style narrative and instead a more engaging narrative. A kind of a dummy for shell corporations and the Panama papers leak which had explosive effects in the financial markets and political circles around the globe.

Neatly done! Worth a watch 👍🏼
25 March 2020
Well scripted and quite well narrated. Wish some of the characters (agents) assisting Kay Kay Menon (Himmat Singh) were developed better. Sayami for example was completely wasted as a character in this. Action sequences are sub standard. But what it lacks in the action sequences, it more than makes up in the plot and the suspense that keeps you hooked through most of the series. Hope they make a 2nd season.

Shockingly bad! Complete waste of time!
25 March 2020
Can't believe this is an Imtiaz Ali creation, the maker of Jab we Met. Poorly written, badly narrated, and leaning heavily on cheap sex to try and sell and even that is neither artistic nor erotic. Even the casting is substandard with regard to the main leads. This show is absolutely avoidable!
