Amazing Grace (2020)
Poignant and Inspiring
We are a local Santa Barbara family already familiar with Grace's story, but this film exceeded our expectations and delivered a touching and poignant account of the tumultuous journey of a tremendously special human being. Gracie was uniquely wonderful before she fell ill. The footage in the film is an acutely accurate portrayal of her kind and genuine spirit, of a young woman who followed her passions with abandon. Her enthusiasm for life was contagious and she was a role model for all who had the pleasure of knowing her. What the film is brilliant at delivering is the idea that Gracie managed to preserve all of these incredible and positive qualities after she fell ill and faced so many obstacles. Using her passion for art and music as a conduit to human connection and a foundation for the human condition, she dug deep and uncovered even more extraordinarily wonderful qualities. Where someone else might have become frustrated and angry, despondent and lost - Gracie finds her way through all of these challenges and emerges triumphant, inspired, and hopeful - a living example of true "Grace." This documentary is a must see for all - it does not disappoint!
