Vagrant Queen (2020)
Low budget fun
Silly sci-fi but strangely enjoyable. If you're expecting great SFX and groundbreaking CGI turn over. If you want a way to spend a little time having fun stay tuned. Let's just say Jar-Jar Binks could have got a bit part in this show! It doesn't take itself seriously and nor does the ensemble so take it for what it is, which is still streets ahead of most of the drivel put out by SyFi.
Extraction (2020)
Hemsworth was ok
The suggestion that the whole of the military and police force were controlled by the drug lord is ludicrous. No plot, the sound effects are twice as loud as the dialogue which gets very loud as he embarks on his shooting sprees and apart from the lead, the acting was wooden.
The Bromley Boys (2018)
Enjoyable Brit comedy
No Oscar winning performances but the actors all put in a shift to capture the period admirably. Enjoyed the nostalgic trip....
The Intruder (2019)
Not as bad as some reviews suggest.
Yeah, you pretty much know what to expect but isn't that 99% of movies but Quaid puts in a good performance so not the worse way to spend 90 minutes.
UFO (2018)
Great way to spend 90 minutes
Didn't expect too much in truth. Actually ended up being one of the best sci-fi movies I've seen in a long time. Believable actors, very little if any cgi, just a very good story, well told.
Ad Astra (2019)
Brad Pitt and TLJ - what's not to like?
This movie basically. I'm a huge fan of both lead actors but this is a drifting mess of a film. I couldn't care about any of the characters and even less about the storyline which was dreadful. I love intelligent Sci Fi but this film isn't it. Please don't do as I do and buy it on Bluray, I feel I've been stiffed it was that poor.
