The Shield (2002– )
5/10
Great show; too bad that the shaky cam destroys the whole series!

I love these kind of series, and The Shield was not on my watch list before recently. However the shaky "modern cam work" really has to stop - period! Time is not favoring shaky cam movies / TV series well and you definitely see it now 10+ years later on The Shield.

In series 3 it really got to the point I couldn't watch it anymore. Just got really annoyed because it was no longer "shaky" because of no tripods etc; now it was zoomed and shakes just for effects and a very cheap effect I might add..

Hopefully this "phase" of camera work is behind us for future TV series like The Shield. I am really really unsatisfied by this because other than the camera work the series is a 8 / 10.

The Tuxedo (2002)
2/10
It had to happen to Jackie as well!! ;(

I'm sorry to say that this movie is NOT at ALL the quality of Action/Comedy that we are used to Jackie delivering. If you love Jackie as I do, and put "Shanghai Noon" as one of the favourites then you will be disapointed. The movie lacks actually everything. The chemistry between Jackie, and Love H. is really not there, he seems for the first time a little bit un-interested, and the plot is really not good. This movie is probably a must see for fans of "Spy Kids", but for us "older" Jackie fans I will wait for the coming Shanghai Knights. Owen Wilson and Jackie made Shanghai Noon a success based on a funny plot, and an AMAZING chemistry between them.

Jackie you rock, but you can do better than this - it's not the amount of movies but the originality and fun that we are used to you delivering that makes your movies so special!

I also caught this movie on an "oldies flick" channel, and was so amazed I had to tell on IMDB directly! Henry Fonda does a great job, and the cast is packed with great acting celebrities. The fun part is that the story is really well written, and the dialogues are great. This would have been a blockbuster today if it was released as a re-make. Enjoy, and there is so much to learn from the old masters. :)
