The Streets of San Francisco: Pilot (1972)
excellent story!
This pilot episode is great, I remember watching it when was young and I could'nt forget it.The story is about two detectives from the San Francisco homicide department who are assigned to a case when a girl's body washes ashore beneath the Golden Gate bridge. She was killed and the story is played out in a lot of flashback scenes to show her last days. The cast is tremendous with Kim Darby as the victim and Robert Wagner as the attorney who dated her before she died. The suspects are the attorney and some stranger who is posing as her uncle. There is a fearful somewhat spooky sequence when the uncle appears .The real star is the city itself with great background shots. This is well done and some fine acting by the cast.Highly recommended
Branded: Coward Step Aside (1965)
nice episode
Truly inspiring episode, Chuck Connors at his best in the series which reunites the two rifleman stars. Look for the line Jason Mc cord (Connors) gives the young deputy (Crawford) in the beginning about courage, the outlaws are played a little campish but effective,a small town is terrorized by a group of outlaws which plan to rob the town , while collecting the town's arsenal Mc cord separates and plans to bring them in with some help from the overwhelmed deputy, look for ex major league baseball player Ron Perranowski as one of the gang. This episode is lightweight but enjoyable .This series is a nice change from most westerns of the era.
The Fugitive: The Other Side of the Coin (1967)
a great show
a very good episode in the series, this episode includes a story line about a cops son who wishes to elope with his sweetheart, needing money he is wounded in his attempt to rob the store at gunpoint where he and Janssen work and is chased by his own father, the aftermath of this makes for a very nice drama ,a young Beau Bridges and a great performance by David Janssen make this an exceptional entry in the greatest series ever, very fine work by all the actors including John Larch a must show for you fugitive fans!this episode is in color , i prefer the b&w footage of the earlier episodes but at times color is very nice change
