Animal (2023)
Sandeep literally challenged the status quo and won over
Simply put it's a masterpiece !
The Director literally put his heart in this one, the complex relationship of Father and Son explained in a such a manner. I don't feel anyone ever dared to take such a step in Indian cinema. I literally enjoyed every minute of the movie it felt so realistic at times. Ranbir finally gave a great performance after Sanju!
I mean just look at the facts Sandeep made 200+mins movie which means fewer shows plus he made it adult for it to be raw and as real as possible both these things require guts everyone told me to cut the movie down and make it U/A but I am so glad he didn't.
Indian cinema these days have become very typical, like at times being a movie lover I find it difficult to understand that why are our writers and directors not being creative or trying something new/ different/ interesting.
But finally we are seeing creative movies and trust me the background score, Acting, music, costumes everything was just wow !
And I know there will be people who might find this movie too bold, too strong, lengthy and violent. I don't oppose to such things I just feel we should appreciate that atleast someone tried to break the status quo and make such a bold movie.
Sardar Udham (2021)
It can't get better than this, Shoojit Sir proved it.
Firstly let me say everything in this movie is so bloody amazing that it just stays with you throughout. The acting by Viki is till date his bets performance hands down, this one has my heart to it.
The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat's through with power pact performances and some horror hard hitting stories that just won't let you blink.
The script is amazingly executed with just strong characters and storytelling. The cinematography is so beautiful and authentic that it makes you feel as if you are watching some high end Hollywood movie.
This one is a masterpiece of Bollywood that will stay and live on as a classic soon enough.
Tanu Weds Manu (2011)
The perfect Indian tadka that feels realistic and refreshing
This one just hits it right out of the park with just amazing performances from actors and just amazing script that makes you wonder whether being honest and true is such a bad thing in today's world.
The direction and cinematography goes so well, the sets and costumes are so authentic and to the point. Plus the amazing acting performances from all actors is cheery on top.
The directors and writers did a fabulous job with this low budget film that it makes you laugh, and emotional along the journey
It's a amazing watch for a weekend or when together with family as it can be so relatable to the audience that it just stays with them.
Peepli [Live] (2010)
The forgotten gem of Indian film industry !
This one is a must watch for all Bollywood lovers and fans as the movie is about the hard hitting truths and lies that are being spread around to generate false news or are done for some personal agendas.
It's a dark comedy with a lot of interesting characters and story line that just hits you so hard and makes you question a lot that is happening in your current life.
The script is magical plus the direction is on point and the cinematography is so authentic and true to its nature. This movie literally shuts hard and gives you such great vibes regarding the standard of our Indian cinema
A fabulous watch for you this weekend if you have not already seen it.
The Kerala Story (2023)
Dark truth that needs to be heard & digested properly
The script is very well written and directing is superb & with a strong message in the end just sparks some thing inside you.
It's a movie based on true story that needs to be heard, it will give you chills in the middle as the story goes forward.
Acting was ok, nothing spectacular plus the budget was also low due to which the sets and customers looked weak. But overall an good attempt to make a decent movie with just limited production budget.
A lot of controversies have happened around the movie but it's because of the number that the film makers have shown, that is 32,000 girls went missing.
Apart from all controversies the movie is a good watch for this weekend that puts your focus on a important issue of India.
Sixer: The Final (2022)
TVF creates another star series that's just awesome π
TVF has created a lot of interesting and engaging content for all its show, but this one is definitely a winner.
The script is very tight and so much engaging that you can't wait to watch the next episode plus it's so relatable in everyone's life as cricket is a big part of our Indian culture.
The directing is done well, dark theme with effective cinematography just hits right. The BGM is good enough, plus the wardrobe was very enough.
The actors have done a fantastic job of making us believe in those characters and make it so relatable and honest.
Overall it's just fantastic watch and a little nostalgic to enjoy this series.
Ponniyin Selvan: Part Two (2023)
A twisted tale of love and politics that lets us down
The first part was quite interesting with a cliffhanger in the end of a double role.
The cinematography is good with powerful visuals and the performances are fantastic as well from all actors. Directing was good with decent BGM and also costumes were amazing of all actors in the movie.
The story takes a lot of twists and turns throughout which makes the end kind of unpredictable.
Yet the end can be a little disappointing for some viewers as it brings us back to the very start.
Overall a decent movie of this fantasy/biography genre, but I feel the first volume was better than the second one as it didn't live up to expectations.
Ponniyin Selvan: Part One (2022)
Period drama with a twisted story line, yet it misses something
Firstly the characters of the movie are very interesting as they all get a decent amount of screen time to explain their backgrounds and standing.
All actors have given a fantastic performances which makes you want to watch more of them. The script is good enough as it has a lot of twists which makes it unpredictable for the viewer.
Ashwariya Rai does justice to her role with the beauty and grace that she brings to her character.
The music is not that good at least not in Hindi, plus the dubbing is no that great as it can be seen clearly in some of the scenes where actors are missing the lip-syncing in the middle.
The action is decent enough along with costumes which needed to be more authentic compared to the big budget that they had.
The cinematography is beautiful along with the VFX used, overall a good movie which might even improve in the second volume.
Sisu (2022)
Beautiful, tense & a treat for thrillers and action lovers
Beautiful in the work of cinematography, with such amazing detail and accuracy of the war world.
Great BGM that gives you chills throughout, and action scenes are similar to that of John wick but with more blood and gruesome action scenes.
The whole movie will keep getting darker as you go along till the very end. Though they take a lot of cinematic liberties of some scenes which not feel very realistic.
The acting is awesome as the entire movie has very less dialogues and more silent and tense scenes. Plus it's a dark theme based movie
Thrilling & action lover should definitely check it out on the big screen.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Amazing and beautiful, which received an Oscar as well
Firstly the acting is so fabulous by all actors, which keeps the movie so authentic and true.
The script is beautifully written with connecting the possibilities of a sci-fia in an completely normal world. It's a first of its kind so no wonder it won the Oscar. The directing is so on point that it just makes you wonder and appreciate the characters so much.
It's a very well executed movie in terms of story, dialogue, acting, comedy, tense, drama literally everything. The BGM is decent enough as well that connects well with the viewers.
Plus thing whole concept is created by the young generation directors and writers who deserve appreciation.
Gutar Gu (2023)
Pure nostalgia, amazing teenage love story to binge watch
The script and acting by all characters were so amazing, it can be a very relatable story as there will be something for everyone.
The story is very well written with amazing execution by the director of the series.
If you are up for some nostalgia from your teen love life than this is a perfect fit for you. It deals with some many awkward situations that at times you laugh so hard and sometimes you feel the pressure we'll.
This one will curve more for the younger generation as they will be able to relate well as per today's norms of the society.
Overall the series is worth binge watching and it's available online for you to watch, hope this review is helpful.
The Recruit (2022)
Unexpected thriller with good comedy and drama, you'll binge watch it.
The series is fresh and completely new in the genre, I don't feel like we have seen something like this before.
The acting is amazing, with very tight script that makes you want to binge watch the whole thing.
BGM is good with some great action scenes in the middle and along with this is the comedy which is so on point and realistic. The main character will charm you to expect more from him.
Overall, it's a well gripping thriller that does justice and trust me you will crave for a second season once you are done with the first one.
Netflix did a good job with this one, hope you'll enjoy this series as well.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023)
Salman khan's show, but doesn't live up to the expectations
Firstly the story line and action are decent enough in the movie which makes it watchable. Other than that everything else seems like a child's play.
Music is not that great, plus the humour in the middle makes it very childish to watch as it is a serious movie. The side actors have very limited screen time as it focuses on Salman's walk in slow motion.
The second half is much better with the South Indian tadka and action scenes. Plus good acting by the South Indian actors with Ram Charan cameo as well.
The climax is pretty typical with Salman Khan defeating everyone and his shirt coming off to showcase his abs.

Evil Dead Rise (2023)
Terrifying/Scary/Creepy and totally awesome with great BGM
Firstly the movie is very good, pays homage to the original evil dead but in a very different and realistic manner for the viewer to connect well.
It doesn't matter if you have seen the original, this one will feel fresh as well. The acting is great plus the background sounds I mean the game is really on point to give us goosebumps throughout.
The directing is amazing along with some decent humour in the middle, over all it's a good horror movie which has all the right ingredients.
This one is a visual treat for your eyes, don't forget to experience it in a big screen.

The Pope's Exorcist (2023)
Not a jump scare , instead a story driven by facts
This movie was so much more and different than what I had imagined, it's not a jump scare but has its fare share of movements.
Russell Crowe does an amazing job as the lead in the movie, this is his first horror film in a long time. I mean this character literally rides Vespa and fights devils while drinking whiskey! Yeah you heard it right
The story is very engaging and VFX are very good as well, it's more on the realistic side rather than your typical horror movie with jump scares. The movie can be a let down for some viewers as they don't get enough scares to experience.
It's something new and fresh according to me which can be enjoyed on the big screen near you.

Dasara (2023)
unexpected visual treat from Nani
Dasara movie review:
A Surprising Visual Treat
The movie had me with it from the start till the very end, the theme of alcoholism was very funny and than suddenly the movie tells us a story of love and friendship, which later changes to Ramayana spin off which was just totally unexpected. Nani the lead actor does a fabulous job in acting, his eyes speaks volumes to us while watching him.
Regrettably, the films sound track sucked and was not up to the mark which really could have made a lot more impact on the movie. The songs are not greatly dubbed in Hindi which is very sad on the part of a viewer going for a Hindi version. The climax would've been more engaging than your typical South Indian movie, which wasn't that bad either to be honest.
Bholaa (2023)
One time watch, Ajay Devgan could do better
Firstly the movie is based on a single night where all characters connect with each other and serve us the story. Ajay Devgan could have done a better job with his film by making realistic shots of action sequences rather than depending so much on VFX and CGI. This is a movie which is directed by the hero himself which is a good initiative. Runway 34 was a pretty good movie which I enjoyed a lot. But this movie is very much dark and the continuity of story is done poorly as we have few good scenes and than suddenly all goes away and another scene comes.
The story is very well written, giving opportunities for a sequel or an origin movie which explores the main character of the film. Dialogue are good and comedy is well timed as well. Tabu does a great job playing the lady inspector. The villain role is done pretty well along with sub inspector role.
And the ending credit scene leaves you with hope that a sequel can be expected which will explore the title lead and his days of the origin.
John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)
"Loving Husband" that's all he ever wanted to be
In the words of the man himself "Walk a mile to avoid a fight but when one starts don't back down an inch" - Baba Yaga
John wick series has always been over the top action thriller focusing on getting the ultimate adrenalin rush to its viewers with best choreography action sequences than trying to tell the most compelling stories about Stylish assassins.
John Wick chapter 4 does justice to the characters and leaves room for future possibilities to branch out from the universe of John Wick. The movie keeps you engaged from the start with Loveable dogs, Guns and a man in black suit who wants to kill everyone. Plus he actually runs out of bullets and reloads the gun in between fight scenes.
It's astonishing how story is so driven to tell you and remind you again and again that Wick is the most baddest man in the world, he is called Baba Yaga for a reason
This movie is meant to be watched in a theatre with big screens and loud noises.
Remember Monsieur Wick has fought hard for it period.
Director Chad Stahelski has my gratitude for delivering this masterpiece and explaining me that without rules we are all animals.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (2023)
Luv Rajan hits its right out of the park & family wins
The movie has an awesome story line which will keep you indulged right from the start. It's a Rom-Com which the Bollywood so badly needed.
The movie is so relatable as everyone of us have somewhere or the other had such encounters
It's fully entertaining with all the right ingredients comfrey, drama, twist, and a message in the end.
I have always enjoyed Luv Rajan films as he has created a genre for the young generation which relates well with them.
The acting is superb by both Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. I also think that Ranbir suits well in such roles as he is that chocolate boy whom everyone wants.
I would rate this movie a solid 7 on any normal day but bcoz it's been so long since I actually enjoyed watching a movie in the theatre that I am giving it an extra 1
That's why it's an 8/10 for me.
Full on entertainment, and a good watch in theatres .

Pathaan (2023)
Disappointing once's again...........
This would have been a great films with such sting cast and big budget.
SRK is just following the trends I guess make a movie like marvel with good VFX and keep comedy lines in dialogue so that people find it funny and think of you as tony stark.
I mean seriously the dialogue's were so childish. The movie was even very predictable with a climax that was just the most disappointing part of it
I gave this movie 3 stars coz of John Abraham who's character is quite interesting and makes the movie tolerable to watch
This movie needed to take inspiration from Baby and mission impossible franchise.
Doctor G (2022)
Superb Performance, but story lets you down
Before interval everything seems interesting and after that everything changes to disappoint
You'll enjoy the first half of the movie as it is filled with good jokes and punch lines. In the second half everything goes down hill as the story takes a very different approach towards the characters.
The cast is really great as acting wise everyone does a fabulous job
I have given it a 7 star just coz of the performance by the actors. Other than that it will stoop even lower.
The song Step Copy was also missing from the movie, saw it on the YouTube ads god knows what was going on.

Karthikeya 2 (2022)
Okay-okay thriller with Great BGM
The movie starts off well with storytelling from the past of Shree Krisha and moves ahead
The movie is a decent watch the VFX are not that great.
Climax was also a little dull according to me but overall the movie keeps you on your toes with Good BGM and few action scenes
The movie is a one time watch
Hope you find this helpful.
Fakt Mahilao Maate (2022)
Timepass with good Laughs
The movie is very well directed and the story is a little boring but the concept is quite new which makes it a one time watch movie for movie lovers.
Yash Soni again delivers a good performance along with other casts
It's an family entertainment
It gets a little boring in the end as things complicate which could have been different but nevertheless movie is decent.
Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 - Agni Pariksha (2022)
Full Entertainment from start to finish
Firstly the director Faruk Kabir is the man to be praised for doing a fabulous job as a director for both parts.
I feel chapter 2 is much better in terms of story and action both as the story is not that predictable and has a lot of twists.
A superb thriller which will keep you on the edge till the end
A watchable movie this monsoon season
