Mortal Kombat (2021)
Mortal Kombat WITHOUT Mortal Kombat!
Whoever wrote this movie, doesn´t undersand anything about Mortal Kombat or what Mortal Kombat fans expect. Hell! Did they even know the story of the games and charachters they put into this?
The first minutes of the movie are very uplifting, with the beggining of Scorpion and Sub-Zero story and a twist about a possible descendant of Scorpion and the Shirai Ryu. Ok... this looks promising. After that, it becomes a completly different movie. And the worst part is... it is never declared MORTAL KOMBAT!
For real! The whole movie is about the fighters, and several plotlines that doesn´t make sense, and to be prepared for the tournament, and the tournament never officially starts! There is no Shang Tsung island! There is no Mortal Kombat!
But the fights could save it, right? Not if we present charachters without context or reason! Scorpion never shows up except for a Deux Ex Machina without any explanation at the end! The most useful fighter in the movie is Kung Lao. KUNG LAO!
Yeah, this is below avarage, and a damn missed opportunity. The Mortal Kombat universe is so good, and full of lore, and this movie could have been a starting point for a good movie franchise. But NO! This is not a good movie, not for the fans, and not for casuals. Is just a disaster.

The Witches (2020)
Ok... WHAT?!?!
What the hell was that ending? The three kids (not two) stay as mice? They don't get to be human again? WHAT?!
Ok ok. Let's try to be fair here. There is an original movie, with practical effects, a darker tone and not so good animatronics, but excellent makeup. Here... we have CGI. LOTS of CGI, and not very good at that. Chris Rock may be charrming, but sure is not a narrator. And the story goes off its rails to become more child and family friendly, when the original was more crepppy and for that, more memorable. The only thing memorable here is Anne Hathaway as the Grand High Witch, doing that funny accent.
When you see that makeup and those practical effects back in 1990, you will never forget it. This one, you will forget right away.
Beyond that, is not awful, just not a very good movie. Below averege.
The Death of Superman (2018)
A tearing adaptation, with the things we like.
For those who whine saying ''Boo, I want a faithful comic adaptation'' then you can create your own DC Animated Universe, tell all the stories that came before Death of Superman and 20 years from now you will manage to do it.
This is a very good adaptation. Not only we have The Justice League that most know fighting one of the most deadly enemies of DC, not only we have a long battle that drags for a long time, making you feel that Superman is loosing his strenght as it goes by, and not only we have a good iconic scene of one of DC's most iconic charachters, but they made it justice. The scene of the actual Death of Superman is heartbreaking, making you see how the justice league and the entire world are mourning the death of one of its greatest heroes.
Is it perfect? No. Lex Luthor's actitud for example, is very whiner and annoying, not like the Lex that most know and love, and many would say that the original members of the Justice League would have stopped Doomsday, but it's better this way because it would be strange to see a lot of heroes that not many know facing Doomsday along Superman. In short, a very good movie that so far is the best adaptation we have of one of the best Superman comics ever.
Dragonheart: Vengeance (2020)
After the first one, the one that more feels ''Dragonheart''
I must admit, I didn't have any hope for this movie. The second one to forth one had horrible CGI with horrible story. This one doesn't have a breaking story, nor is it go so big like the first one about a rebellion against a tyranical king, but the story and charachters still "feels" Dragonheart. There are several points through the film that goes deep into the dragons lore, and that is always good. It has a very decent CGI, the charachters, although not awesome, ar well played, and the dragoness looks nice!
Let's remember that the original Dragonheart didn't have awesome CGI, and this one compares to that level and I dare to say that tops it. Above avarage,
