Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)
Very good in its genre
This movie was very enjoyable and charming. If you're not into romantic comedy, you will propably hate it, but I think we can all admit that in its genre it's a very good movie.
Don't expect much depth in the characters or a very original plot, because that's just not what this movie is about.
I had a good laugh and I was in a good mood afterwards. This movie is really heartwarming, and I believe that's the point of a romantic comedy. It succeeds in its purpose.
Changeling (2008)
Absolutely beautiful
I am very confused by some of the negative reviews. I thought this movie was absolutely beautiful and especially very touching.
I suggest you ignore the reviews in which is sais that the story is weird or unbelievable. It's all based on real events so how can it be unbelievable???
Angelina Jolie did a wonderful job portraying Christine Collins. You don't have to be a big fan of all of her work (neither am I) but you need to recognise a good performance when you see one. I was also very impressed by the child actors and the guy who played Northcott. This was acting at its finest.
I'm sure people have a lot of reasons to dislike this film, but I honestly can't see why. It is so well made and so emotional.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011)
Very confusing
This movie was very hard to follow for me. Everything went so fast that you need to be constantly focused to make sure you don't miss anything. At the end I was left with a lot of unanswered questions. This is the kind of movie you need to watch multiple times to really get to the bottom of it.
The Crown (2016)
Good, but very slow
A short list of the positive and negative qualities:
+
Beautiful filming and excellent sound mixing.
The actors did a very good job portraying the members of the royal family (especially Claire Foy). They clearly did their research on the character.
Well written: strong dialogues.
Sometimes really touching.

The cast change is hard to get used to (even though the second cast is as good as the first one).
Very very very slow.
Skins (2007)
Honest
What I appreciate about skins is that it doesn't romanticize the teenage life. It's the most realistic teenage drama series I have ever seen. The average teenage movie or show shows us a 16 year old (portrayed by 26 year old) with the perfect body and the perfect life, finding true love. Skins gives us an honest image of what it's like being a teenager: an emotional rollercoaster.
This is why I totally forgive them the sometimes cringy scenes and awkward dialogues. At least they're honest.
Stranger Things (2016)
Worth the hype
I started watching because my sister recommended it to me. I thought stranger things was going to be another shallow teenage drama, but boy was I wrong. This show is actually good.
The acting of the entire cast is amazing. There's not one bad actor.
It's a scifi/fantasy series set in the 80s, which reminds me a bit of early Spielberg movies.
Here are the few negative things I have to say.
The story develops slowly in the beginning of every season.
I hope the story line will be different in season 4 because I noticed the stories of season 1, 2 and 3 are all very much alike. It's getting predictable.
In general an amazing show that you won't regret watching.
Enola Holmes (2020)
Not great, but definetly not bad
The costume design is very inaccurate, the acting feels a little bit forced sometimes and the story line is a bit childish. Still, it was overall a very enjoyable movie and it is great for teenage girls.
The Kissing Booth (2018)
High School Crap
As a teenager myself, I've watched a lot of high school dramas and moties about typical teenage romances, and I have to say the Kissing Booth is one of the worst films I have ever seen.
The acting bothered me the most. I had seen Joel Courtney in Super 8 as a kid and I found him a very promising actor, but in the Kissing Booth his acting looks forced and is not believable at all. The same is the case for Joey King and Jacob Elordi. Some of the scenes were really cringy because of their mediocre acting.
The story is a typical teenage romance about a girl who falls in love with her best friend's brother: a huge cliché. Elle is the kind of girl whose world spins around one guy and it's just annoying to watch. The characters are extremely shallow. The romance between Elle and Noah is really unrealistic. They have nothing in common, but they just like each other's looks, they fall in love with each other after one Kiss and the list goes on.
Anyway, you get my point. The Kissing Booth is another crappy high school drama were nobody was waiting for. There is really nothing positieve to say about this movie.
