In freaking credible

Jeremy Clarkson has really outdone himself this time. He tours the whole of Europe and gives the British perspective of everything he sees and experiences, carefully choosing the best locations and the most happening places along the way. His wit, although expected, just has to be seen to be believed. His antics include stealing a Fish from a Spanish fish market and asking the Italian Army if he could borrow one of their tanks. His perspectives are almost certainly objective and the episodes also double as a great learning experience. Documentaries have never been this fun. If you want a serious eye opener about Europe, this series is simply not to be missed. It used to air on Discovery Travel and Living.

Not that bad

You just have to ignore the attempts at being super cool with lines like "SWAT is the world's best blah blah blah" and the half assed acting and just get to the action scenes which are fairly realistic and well executed. There are plenty of new and good ideas which have been pretty well executed. This movie is actually better than what it looks like in the trailers and is without doubt one of the producer's better films after a long line of "super cool" and "extreme action" crap. Fairly good entertainment value but don't go expecting anything outstanding. It may sometimes irritate you with its extreme action approach.

Underrated and under-appreciated.

I can't understand why TopGun is so hyped yet nobody has even heard about this movie? Sure its not as glamorous or stylish but it is far more realistic. Perhaps some people just don't consider the old A-6 Intruder bomber as glamorous as an F-14 Tomcat fighter? Unlike Topgun, this movie is faithful to facts and the footage is much much better. The combat scenes are brilliant and the way they show the intensity of anti-aircraft artillery and machine gun fire from the ground really illustrates the difficulties of air warfare. Also unlike Topgun, where the MiGs were fake aircraft and really American F-5s, the MiGs in this movie were real MiGs. So were the SA-2 Divinia SAMs that were fired by the thousands. The combat and dogfight scenes were far more realistic than topgun even if they looked a bit less flashy.

This movie is a real gem and a must see for anybody interested in aviation or war related movies. If you are clueless about aviation and just want a no brain entertainer, stick to topgun.

Classic

This is one of the few movies in the league of those like Kill Bill and Aliens which you can see over and over again without ever getting bored. James Cameron proves himself once again as the greatest director and writer of all time. Although Arnie and Bill paxton get so many mentions, Art Malik's performance gets little mention and his performance as always, is excellent. In the villainous role, no one can beat him. The "Low Battery" scene will have you on the floor every time you see it and is perhaps the most memorable movie scene of all time. This movie is completely insane and completely rocks. Its hard to see how anyone could possibly dislike anything about this movie? Its also one of the few which has a very satisfying ending.
