Coming & Going (2011)
A must for all Sasha Alexander fans!
This is a small movie (read Independent) that delivers big time. This well written, well directed, well acted film shows that if you open your heart, love is there waiting to come in and fill it up.
Rhys Darby successfully blends humor with just enough klutz to make everyone fall in love with him.
Of course, the highlight of the film for me, is Sasha Alexander. This talented actress is as comfortable with humor as she is with Drama or action. Her portrayal of Alex is spot on. She is quirky, sexy and full of surprises.
You may just find yourself adding a new word to your vocabulary, I know I did.
The Last Lullaby (2008)
Fantastic Movie!
WOW! WOW!! WOW!!!
Incredibly crafted script. Beautiful fully developed characters, nice twists. And thank you for filming in Louisiana.
Your vision and artistry allow the story and characters to shine and come alive. This entire cast was fantastic. And the score fits perfectly, adds a touch of menace, brooding but strangely an element of hope.
I have to single out the two leads. Tom Sizemore is menacing when he needs to be, yet with Sarah, he finds a gentleness and a kindred soul and an unbreakable connection is forged. His face tells you he isn't going to kill her the second time he looks at the picture. And when he holds her....you know he's not only lost his heart but his soul to her. She gets him and he gets her. The understated way Tom Sizemore gives life to Jack makes him not only believable but uniquely likable. And the chemistry between Tom and Sasha is magic. So much is said in the silence between the words. These are two actors who know how to project!!!
What can you say about Sasha Alexander that hasn't already been said? Those gorgeous hazel eyes draw you in and you fall so deeply into the character she becomes. In Sarah we see a complete, real person. She is smart, sexy, yet so full of dark secrets and private pain just eating her alive. When she asks Jack if he's going to kill her, and says that a part of her doesn't mind, you feel the pain from her tone, you see it in her eyes. And when she asks Jack to kill her father, you know the person she currently is dies, but a new stronger Sarah comes to life, one who isn't afraid and one who isn't shy with low self esteem. Thank you for giving this talented actress the canvas, brush and paints to create such a great character.
It's such a cliché, but I laughed, and I cried, and I cheered through this entire movie. Thank you for putting all the pieces together and giving us a film to watch over and over and over......... I can't wait to see Peril!
If I sound like a gushing fan, I am!
With respect Norma Henson
Finding Kate (2004)
Excellent short film
Erin Kelly is a star on the rise. Though young, she is a very talented actor, one who is not afraid of "controversial" subjects. It's impossible to watch her and not be drawn into her characters. She becomes the character, you see it in her clear expressive eyes. I can't wait to see Loving Annabelle and all of Erin's future work.
For anyone who has ever had a "crush", or felt the first stirrings of love, watch this film.
Writer/Director Katherine Brooks is my personal hero. She is a giving loving person who is not afraid to put herself out there. She doesn't just make movies to entertain, she wants to educate and enlighten.
