Night Train to Mundo Fine (1966)
Night Train to Mundo Fine...the directors cut!
I had the chance to see this movie unMSTied. The "jump cuts" are not as prevalent as in the MST3k version. However, this film has its wacky parts: Cook and Landis staring into the distance for about 30 seconds during the beginning of the film for no reason at all, Griffin running (or should I say slooooooow jogging) at the beginning, John Carradine singing (with a key change in the middle of the song!), the poor dog getting accidentally neutered while attempting to jump between the barb wire (ouch), the rape scene (edited out of the MST version) was more like a wrestling match with Griffin winning by pin fall(over a blind woman?).
But of course, we have the massive invasion of 8 people looking to over throw Cuba (after 1 day of training consisting of jumping down a hill, climbing up a hill, throwing people over your shoulder facing a hill, playing dominoes after training, you get the point) all while light classical music is playing in the background in many scenes.
And don't miss the stirring rendition by Cliff Weismeyer's blind daughter!!!
Call of the Coyote: A Legend of the Golden West (1934)
bruutaaaaaallllll!!!
From Don Adios' bad Spanish accent, to PICTURES of canyons in the scenes, this one put me to sleep several times during viewing. You'll have to get a copy of this movie to believe how bad a film can be!! I'm still recovering from Don Adios' desire of wanting to remember others by either cutting a piece of their hair or clothes!!
Secret File: Hollywood (1962)
Guest Star.....THE BOOM MICROPHONE!!!
This is a movie that will have your jaws dropping!! For half the movie, you can see the bottom of the boom microphone and in some shots, THE ENTIRE BOOM MIC IS IN VIEW!! Also within this bad movie are people in a viewing room who are reviewing a bad movie. Definitely a movie that will have your head spinning!! This was a movie that the guys at MST3k would have had a field day roasting.....
