The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
Simply Amazing
I have never seen a movie quite like this, I was not bored once during the entire movie and that is 3 hours and 20 minutes. I don't think I've ever been moved as much as I was at the end of this movie. Once the credits came at the end it felt like the perfect ending, Jackson did not screw this trilogy up a bit and I thank him for making three of the best movies of all time. 10 out of 10 I say.
Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003)
Breathtaking!
I don't really know what to say about this film except for it was amazing. I went into the theatre thinking the movie would be good, but I left thinking it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. The previews made it look kind of like a corny action flick, and it was really a story about raw hatred, revenge, and a woman who got her whole life taken from her. So many scenes in this film got my heart pumping, the Anime scene, the Crazy 88 massacre scene, the final showdown between O-Ren and the Bride, the whole sequence with Hattori Hanzo, and of course the amazing cliffhanger ending, I loved it all. I saw this movie 3 times within the first two days of release, that's how much I loved it. It really moved me too, and I personally thank Quentin Tarantino for pumping out one of the best films I have ever seen.
The Matrix (1999)
Amazing!
I went into this movie not having any idea what it was about, all I knew about the movie is that I saw some commercials for it and the special effects looked interesting. I saw the movie the night it came out and was completely blown away. Going to this movie not knowing the plot was the best movie going experience I've ever had. The Matrix is revolutionary, The Matrix Reloaded had amazing action but lacked a bit in the plot department, The Matrix Revolutions was a little disappointing but still a good movie nonetheless. The original is the best, and that's the bottom line.
The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
Amazing
I knew when I saw this movie that it was going to blow my mind, it did that and more. I've never seen action scenes like this movie had to offer. The fight scenes were just unreal! The fight where Neo takes on 100 Agent Smith's got a little repetitive and you could tell some parts were obviously fake, but it was still pretty cool. The movie does not really pick up until the main characters leave Zion and enter the Matrix. Right after they leave it goes Neo vs. Seraph, Neo vs. 100 Agent Smith's, then after they meet the Merovingian it goes hey wire. Neo Fights like 8 of the Merovingians henchmen and takes them to school, he stops a sword with his bare hand for God's sake. That was my favorite part. Then Morpheous and Trinity have to escape the evil twins which was amazing. The whole chase scene was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Just based on the action alone I give this movie a 10. I know they're going to top the action in this movie in the third installment, and I can't even imagine what we the Wachowski brothers have in store for us.
Magnolia (1999)
Good Flick
This was a pretty good movie, but only because of Tom Cruise's fantastic performance. He took the edge off this very serious movie with his role of Frank T.J. Mackey. This was the best I've ever seen Cruise, he took over the movie and showed why he is the biggest star in the world.
WrestleMania V (1989)
Very Flamboyant
This was an awesome wrestlemania. I loved how they had it once again at Trump Plaza, and how they had the steps coming down to ringside. This wrestlemania had so much hype, and I think it lived up to it. A lot happened at this event: Hogan won the title back, The Ultimate Warrior lost his title to Rick Rude, Strike Force split up, Demolition beat their former manager, and The Hart Foundation gave the Honky Tonk Man and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine a beat down. It was great, it really set the stage for Summerslam that followed a couple months after it.
Point Break (1991)
Fantastic work by Kathryn Bigelow
This movie is killer. I saw it when I was 8 years old and loved it, and I still love it now. Kathryn Bigelow really knows how to direct the action films. Strange Days was almost as good as this, but the surfing and the sky diving scenes make this a much better movie. The acting is great in this movie, this movie really put Keanu Reeves on the map, but it didn't get him away from the Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure stereotype.
