Navarasa (2021)
Boring wasted cliched no story
Big actors, technicians all there but not much effort on story front. No entertainment value. Can't believe Roudram was directed by Arvind Swamy, it looked like an 80's style cliched cheap melodrama. Doesn't relate to his style even a bit. Suriya's movie was cliched. They wanted to make a GVM style romantic movie but without a story? The actors themselves acted like they were disinterested. GVM could have broken the shackles and tackled the thriller genre and Karthik Subburaj could have been for a change given the love theme. Remember GVM made the superb thriller kaaka kaaka and then got stereotyped with the love theme. In all, not much thought put in to make these films interesting but just routine already seen kind of stories.

Boring so called philosophical movie.
What was the point? Do no work and just keep traveling? People work in IT field, get good money and then start complaining about the field itself. You will have to be smart and plan your life to make travel a part of it and not make travel your life. In the move, he travel to a foreign county with some good scenery for maybe 10 days and then it seems he is reformed? IT people can easily plan to take this short getaway easily every year. But this movie just highlights travel, leave your job, life, relations and just blind travel.

Master at work!!! What a movie!!
Man! What a movie from the great Padmarajan. Excellent screenplay. Keeps you hooked. Raja sir mesmerises us with his haunting BGM. Crime thriller with realistic scenarios and perfect acting. Lalettan just lives the role. The dialogue's are so simple and earthy. Fabien as the villain is an apt choice. Intentions are never revealed till the end. And what an ending it was. Lalettan's killer smile at the end. They never make movies like this anymore. If only the master maker was alive to have us entertained to his magic craft. Miss you Padmarajan sir.
The Dark and the Wicked (2020)
Just jump scares nothing else
Boring movie without any story. What was the point of the movie? I couldn't see any worthwhile reason provided. Just jump scares from start to end. Just show some scary images then they go away is the pattern of the movie. No work done on creating a story. It is at best a collection of jump scares. Stay away.
The Wolf of Snow Hollow (2020)
Is this movie a joke?
Watched this after reading a lot of reviews. Thought it would be decent, but it was one of the worst movies. What is this all about? Dialogues were awful, I don't know whether this was to be comedy, a thriller, or a spoof movie. The lead character is the mostly badly written one. Just screaming and overacting. The below may have some spoiler. In the end scene, the killer has the lead's throat and then for some reason leaves him and starts to run and then gets shot by the lead. Why don't he kill the lead? And the killer looks a mere caricature. And that father-daughter relationship was meant to be emotional? It was nothing but. I didn't get the point of the movie, it was amateur all the way through, some respite with the cinematography and location. Otherwise, avoid at all costs.
Nizhal (2021)
Unnecessary build up to a childish story
This movie builds up as if there is a serious story and issue up their sleeve but in reality it is very childish and boring. Technical side is good but story and screenplay is a real let down. There is no thrill in the story and it is a drag for most part. This films making is in exact opposite to the recently released and excellent movie Nayattu. Which had very realistic making with no extra build up and relied on the story to thrill and create seat edge moments. This movie doesn't make any impact to the audience and had a childish story in its core which is real let down. They should have worked on it more and made an interesting as the base to start with.
Halal Love Story (2020)
Average boring movie
Expected a lot, since Sudani, being my favourite movie. But this was average. The comedy is amateurish. Soubin just shouting silence and some clumsy scenes for comedy. The issue is there is no emotional connect with the characters or story. No depth and natural flow as there was in Sudani.
Películas para no dormir: La habitación del niño (2006)
Worst movie
Don't waste your time on this. Worst movie. What was the point of all this. Just some parallel universe garbage. You can show a man in a monitor and that is it for a parallel universe theory? What was the point? What is the story? Exchange program between universes.
Maniyarayile Ashokan (2020)
Good start, lagging middle, okay ending
This movie had good atmosphere going for it. The rural life, greenery all around, simple friendships, quirky situations. But story is not deep. The sequence with the 'vazha' was unnecessarily dragged for a long time. Greg coming out of the asylum as a changed man was kind of rushed and din't feel any depth or sympathy for the character. The ending was very convenient and not very thought out. Overall an okay movie.
C U Soon (2020)
Familiar story in modern screenplay
We have heard these stories in various news mediums, happening all around the world. Nothing new there, but the magic is screenplay and editing. It gives us a whole new experience of watching something fresh. Acting is top notch. Editing is seemless. They could have tried a different ending. Of course these issues doesn't give scope for improvisation. So they have sticked to reporting these issues and the effect on people and society. Overall a good film with good use of technology in screenplay and making familiar story look modern and sophisticated. Must watch!
Love Per Square Foot (2018)
Silly movie unreal characters
This is no comedy. This is being silly. How can the lead character have an affair just like that and that too so openly in the place he works. Why can't they make those situations more believable than making it look silly. The office Mam character is so badly done and her husband is shown as a caricature. Story is unwantedly exaggerated. They could have made situations more real and characters act more believable. Comedy need not be silly.
Sufiyum Sujatayum (2020)
Love story but no emotional connect
Technical aspects are all good. But the story did not make any emotional impact with the audience. Also the lead characters love was not shown to be deep and eternal to make that connect. One character who looked real was Jayasuriya's. I thought Aditi's character was the worst, why did she have to make Jayasuriya's life bad for 10 years for no fault of his. Like he says, why did she marry him when she couldn't forget her lover? And about Dev's character, where was he for the last 10 years and why did he suddenly come to the same place after so long and why he died, nothing is explained. The movie is made just to make a superficial love story but no thought put into it to make it so.
