About Time (2013)
I cried like a bitxh
I don't have much to say about this film other than what the title already implies. I rarely cry at films, i've maybe 4-5 films i've ever seen that i've legitametly sobbed at. This was one of them. The second the dad started dying I started weeping.
But beyond that, this film had so much great comedy, drama, clever writing. 10/10 acting. It felt so natural.
It was also a very simple film. Nothing really went wrong which made it amazing. A feel good movie that I enjoyed front to back.
Finally the whole time travel stuff was brilliant. And do you know why? It wasn't overdone! It was a little side plot that was used only when it was necessary. Other than that it was basically just an everyday Rom-Com.
UglyDolls (2019)
Why hate on a kids flick
I'm honestly getting incredibly tired of people dissing on movies like this. Why would anyone watch this movie and expect it to be the best animated movie of the last 100 years. This is some trashy movie that you can put on for children and they'll enjoy it. Because believe it or not, some thirty year old isn't the target audience.
It's hate on such mindless movies like this that lead to the creation of these animated movies that have such sarcastic humor which at a point only makes the parents entertained.
Overall I didn't even watch this movie but I feel that this should be made clear that this isn't for parents and that review bombing flicks like this is ridiculous.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)
Well god damn
I could spend an entire month writing about how good of a movie this was, and that still wouldn't even cover how much I loved it.
For starters, this film had an incredibly talented voice cast. Some new voices and some returning made this film entertaining as hell.
Secondly the absolute genius and attention to detail brings this movie to an absolute 10/10. Each spiderman was so different and each universe felt completely immersive.
Not to mention how beautiful this film was. The colors used were just beyond amazing. Visually stunning masterpiece.
Finally the story was riveting, front to back. The talks of parenthood and finding who you are can usually be a easy thing to mess up. But low and behold this film did it right again.
Overall this film was a pleasure to watch and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the finale to this fantastic trilogy.
13: The Musical (2022)
Dumpster Fire
This was an absolute dumpster fire of a movie. Pacing was terrible, acting was minimalistic, songs were average.
Furthermore, they took away the point of the original musical which was that teenage kids aren't the most PG beings out there.
This film had one redeemble five minute scene and it was the football boys absolutely rocking and slaying the song "Bad Bad News."
The Offer: Mr. Producer (2022)
Finally some scenes
After 7 episodes we are finally seeing the iconic parts of the movie "The Godfather."
Personally the little romance that blossoms with Bettye is actually very entertaining to watch.
Unfortunately I am getting a little bored with the leading man Al Ruddy. While the characters whole purpose is to encounter a problem and then miraculously resolve it, it does feel like it's getting awfully repetitive. Nevertheless Miles Teller still pulls off an Emmy worthy performance.
The Offer: A Stand Up Guy (2022)
A little slower than the others
This episode offers us our first couple of days of shooting. However it seems that after spending 5 episodes building up to it, we didn't see much of it. Nevertheless Matthew Goode went on to deliver a passionate speech that redeemed the character of Robert Evans.
The Offer: Kiss the Ring (2022)
Never before have i seen a more realistic portrayal
The portrayal of the Corleone family had me absolutely captivated during the dinner scene. I haven't seen a version that good since 1972.
Furthermore, I continue to be amazed with Miles Teller and his ability to transform into Al Ruddy without changing his face or anything. Great performance by a great actor.
